The company bases its innovative solutions on the development of cutting-edge technologies and collaborates with researchers, professors and students from the scientific and academic fields. The Collaboration and Government Programs, and Academic Partnerships team is at the heart of this environment and plays a leading role in setting up collaborative research and development projects involving stakeholders from many backgrounds inside and outside the company. The team also ensures the capture and governance of programs funding the company's R&D. It leads a broad portfolio of Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) initiatives that aim to help develop the future workforce.
As a Partnerships Management intern in this team, you will work closely with the project managers and your supervisor and assist them in a wide range of tasks such as:
Participate in the initiation and monitoring of collaborative R&D projects and work-integrated learning (WIL) activities involving partners from the research and academic community and contribute to the development of the contractual framework of the projects;
Review and synthesize the portfolio of past and current collaborations; Propose mechanisms to track the portfolio and participate in related continuous improvement initiatives;
Contribute to the development of a portal for the management of collaborative projects;
Participate in the management of sponsorships with stakeholders;
Contribute to the management of programs encouraging company participation in work integrated learning (WIL) activities;
Follow up on payments and financial aspects of projects on an occasional basis;
Collaborate with the Communications team to disseminate news related to the collaboration portfolio and maintain the calendar of events;
Participate in other tasks on an occasional basis.
The person joining the team will benefit from peer mentoring in carrying out the various mandates for an enriching and experience of growth and development.
The internship can be carried out at least in part via teleworking. The conditions will be discussed at the time of hiring.
Our ideal candidate has:
Critical, creative and strategic thinking skills
Team spirit and strong interpersonal skills; autonomy and initiative
Good communication, writing and synthesis skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word. Power BI an asset
Bilingualism (French and English)
Ideally available for a period of 8 months, at least part-time (terms to be discussed upon hiring)
Preferred Education
Bachelor's degree in law, administration, economics, finance, marketing or engineering in progress; other profiles will be considered as long as the candidate demonstrates an interest and capabilities with respect to the various facets of the mandate.
Location of the internship is in Ville Saint-Laurent, at CAE’s headquarters.
Internship will be carried out in hybrid mode.
*All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP). All hires will be required to complete, sign and return the Controlled Goods Program form within a week of its transmittal. They must also provide a copy of their passport or birth certificate. All students with a work permit must provide a copy of it and a police clearance certificate from the country or countries where they have resided in the past five years.
*Please take note that if you are on a student, work or international student permit, the delays for the security background check take minimum 16 weeks.
