Platform & Electronic Sales is responsible for the marketing and distribution of all Equities and Equities-related trading products at Citi across Cash, Derivatives, Delta One and Prime. The team is seeking a Director level Salesperson to grow and expand the US Equities Electronic business with a focus on Citi-ONE ATS.
Responsibilities:
- Market Citi-ONE ATS platform to sell side & broker dealer platforms
- Drive our execution services agenda to optimize existing client relationships and originate new execution business with deep product knowledge (Algos, DMA, ATS)
- Help distribute both new and existing datasets to institutional client base
- Coordinate with broader Cash and Prime teams to drive incremental market share gains
- Spearhead business development and relationships focused on Sell Side/BD clients across all channels (execution, custody, financing)
- Leverage and coordinate the entire Equities platform suite of capabilities to offer Retail BDs, Institutional BDs, Regional Banks and RIAs a unique and global set of services
- Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure as it relates to Citi-One ATS
- Refine and implement Sales & Marketing strategy to improve Citi's client footprint and maximize associated revenue while working with management/colleagues to establish a clear marketing plan with defined priorities, market penetration and revenue goals
- Utilize contact network to understand client needs, introduce the Citi offering, and convert clients to use various channels on the Citi Equities platform
- Forge a relationship with salespeople in order to leverage Citi's franchise and source relevant buying and selling opportunities for clients
- Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to you
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of institutional markets experience, including electronic sell-side sales experience at a bulge-bracket organization
- Deep understanding of electronic trading products
- Familiarity with electronic retail and wholesale segments
- Familiarity with US equity market structure
- Experience in a client-facing role working with the buy- and sell-side community
- Proven interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Broad client relationships preferred
- Must have or be able to obtain required licenses including Series 7, 63
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
