Reporting to the Lead of Focused Operations, under the Branch Chief of Defensive Cyber Operations, you will be tasked with developing and maintaining defensive countermeasures for the enterprise. Working within a Fusion model will collaborate with other teams within Focused Operations with the distinct task of proactively preventing a successful compromise and eradicating persistent adversaries already in the enterprise. The Outside Plant Fiber CAD Draftsman will play a crucial role in updating, revising, maintaining the NCTL-DJ baseline OSP communications manhole system documentation and provide as-built ISP infrastructure documentation IAW NCTL-DJ requirements at CLDJ. This individual will be responsible for provide site drafting services as required to develop Installation Design Plans (IDP) as well as update drawings. The candidate will be required work directly with the performing activity (N6/PW) to resolve questions concerning the documentation provided. Update/maintain the N6 CLDJ baseline manhole system topology map and OSP butterfly documentation to reflect new communication manholes/conduits installed either by the contractor or as advised of installation by other organizations ex (N6/PW). Provide ISP (fiber/copper) as-built drawings and the related documentation for projects installed by the contractor; documentation shall reflect all information required for operations & maintenance (O&M) contractor(s) to make cross connections at the demark points. SME review of CLDJ Excavation Permits and SME for OSP/ISP PM Support for N6 mission requirements. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure accurate implementation of network plans. Utilize various tools and equipment, such as fusion splicers, OTDRs, and cable placement equipment, to carry out tasks effectively. Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed, including splicing records, test results, and network diagrams. Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Respond to emergency situations, including outages and network failures, to restore services promptly. We are hiring Entry Level Background Investigators, and we offer a full training program to teach you what you need to know about becoming a credentialed Background Investigator. Qualified candidates must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance.

What You’ll Get to Do:

• Conduct comprehensive interviews with subjects, employers, associates, references, and other knowledgeable individuals and review appropriate records to obtain facts to resolve all material issues in a case or to establish the background, reputation, character, suitability, or qualifications of the subject under investigation. Document all information and submit a detailed report of investigation within a strict required timeline.
• Attend a four-week intensive virtual, online training with additional in-field shadowing and multi-week mentorship with a Senior Investigator
• TDY opportunity at locations across the U.S. for 2 or more weeks in duration
• Opportunities to work on DCSA, DHS, Paper Proof, and Excalibur contracts

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of general experience demonstrating progressive responsibility in problem solving, planning and organizing work, and communicating effectively orally and in writing.

• You are comfortable learning new technologies and working within several different programs and systems every day to perform your job
• Ability to obtain/maintain a favorable determination based on a T5 Background Investigation
• A sense of mission in support of national security initiatives
• An impeccable work ethic, integrity, and can-do attitude
• A current driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and willingness to extensively travel locally on a daily basis dependent on assignment location
• A home office equipped with high-speed Internet ($50 monthly internet stipend is provided)
• A personal computer compatible with Microsoft applications (e.g. Word and Excel)
• Ability to walk, type, sit, or stand for long periods of time
• Excellent time management skills
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, such as typing detailed, extensive, and lengthy reports

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

• Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance based on a T5

• Must be able to take handwritten notes that are complete, accurate and thorough.
• Must be able to provide quality, detailed, technical reports.
• Must be able to meet demanding metrics and monthly standards.
• Excellent time management skills
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, such as typing detailed, extensive, and lengthy reports.
• A sense of mission in support of national security initiatives
• An impeccable work ethic, integrity, and can-do attitude
• A current driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle or transportation, and willingness to extensively travel locally on a daily basis dependent on assignment location
