CACI is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (BA) to join our Health Surveillance and Analytics team. The BA should have experience in public health and contributed to custom software development and data analytics efforts under the Agile methodology.
About the Role:
The Business Analyst will:
· Have experience working on public health data surveillance / data collection systems with standardized (HL7 2.x, FHIR, etc.) electronic data exchange capabilities.
· Demonstrate experience with effective decomposition of public health objectives into requirements transferred to a product backlog. The BA will have experience managing product backlogs that were implemented through a series of short and iterative development cycles.
· Serve as the focal point for the capture, analysis, and management of functional and non-functional requirements, and user stories.
· Review high-level requirements provided by the external and internal stakeholders and the Product Owner and decompose into user stories.
· Meet regularly with the Product Owner to review and prioritize the product backlog.
· Clearly communicate business needs to a development team through user stories and acceptance criteria.
· Provide guidance and clarification of user stories to the development team as a proxy Product Owner.
· Work closely with the Product Owner and PM to establish Release/Sprint backlogs, resolve impediments, and provide direction on scope of work to be accomplished.
· Develop product roadmaps and participate in Release Planning
· Review and evaluate work done by development and analytics teams to ensure proper scope has been met.
· Lead demonstrations to the Product Owner and stakeholders and collect feedback.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
· College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline.
· Minimum (7) years’ experience as a business analyst on public health projects.
· Experience with functional decomposition of large public health needs into multiple layers of requirements/user stories.
· Experience collecting requirements for systems that have been used to support public health initiatives.
· Experience conducting backlog refinement sessions with internal and external stakeholders and the Product Owner to gather and validate business requirements.
· Visible experience ensuring public health objectives were clear and understood by development team(s).
· Skills with MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Visio) and Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
· Experience analyzing data and data relationships across the program and potential exchange of data with internal and external stakeholders.
· Experience supporting Agile Scrum.
· Ability to work with and support a technically and geographically diverse team.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
· Certified Business Analysis Professional
· Experience supporting users / systems utilizing SAS and/or R
· Understanding of Cloud environments, Databricks and Cloud-based analytics platforms

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$82,100-$172,400
