Work environment is typically considered to be off-site, wherever the customer of concern is located. Typical travel requirement is up to 100% to support field service activities and customer relationships. This travel will be to the Mexico City Airport as well as other airports within Mexico.
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Responsible for establishing shift schedules and coordinate work assignments and instructions for field service technicians to maintain quality and quantity of production while meeting customer needs at assigned sites, considering peak periods and adjusting as necessary to meet changing requirements.
Ensure workload for preventative and corrective maintenance is distributed efficiently amongst the field service technicians at the assigned site.
Provides input and feedback to the District Manager, regarding performance of site employees and assists in writing annual performance reviews.
Coordinates and provides support to regional customers by installing, calibrating, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting and repairing of X-Ray and CT bases security systems of a highly complex nature and within required deadlines.
Participates in the selection process and interviews perspective job candidates. Instructs and trains employees in processes or methods in accordance with departmental procedures, practices and/or process sheets.
Performs as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all systems at assigned site / location. May perform the most complex work assignments and work on equipment that has little or no documentation or training; sets up equipment as required.
Maintains and establishes adequate controls for site tools, test equipment and other company owned property, to include return of test equipment to meet calibration requirements.
Must be able to respond to emergency and non-scheduled calls for service on a daily basis within established response time goals.
Foster positive customer relations and a high degree of customer satisfaction by communicating effectively with customers.
When needed, act as a liaison between the customer and other departments/functions within the company.
Documents all inspections, maintenance, repair work and submits paperwork in a timely basis.
Reviews all logs and maintenance tracking systems for open issues, recommends modifications or improvements and prepares formal reports to customers as necessary.
May participate in site surveys, pilot program service activities, attend meetings, champion special projects and prepare exclusive reports.
Exercises every available measure to control and minimize costs while maximizing revenue.
Travel, overtime and work hours other than Monday-Friday may be required.
Comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies.
May be expected to assist in the preparation of operator and maintenance documentation, training, and may provide training to others as an instructor.
Other duties as required.
Basic Qualifications
This individual must be a Mexican Citizen or Permanent Resident, and willing to work in-person in Mexico City, Mexico.
Engineering Bachelor's degree in related field (industrial, electrical, electronic, mechanical) with minimum of 8 years’ experience directly involved in troubleshooting and field repair of advanced/integrated electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
Equivalence achieved through comparative work experience (greater than 10 years work experience in a related electrical or mechanical field service role).
Advance proficiency in Spanish and English (both spoken and written).
Computer literacy; competency in use of all programs within MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software programs.
Possess excellent communications skills and strong orientation for customer focus and teamwork.
Physically able to get in narrow spaces, climb ladders / stairs, carry 50+ lbs. without assistance.
Must be able to push/pull 200 lbs. and move/manipulate equipment weighing up to 1000 lbs. with the assistance of carts, hoists, davit cranes, pallet jacks or other devices as defined in the manuals and Technical Advisory documentation.
Job requires frequent bending, stooping, twisting, turning, and working in unusual positions requiring full body mobility.
Must be able to work safely and follow safety precautions in extreme environments (temperature, humidity, noise, confined spaces, etc.) around dangerous industrial equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in networking or systems integration (A+, CCNA, or similar).
Possess excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask several projects at once.
Previous hands-on project management is a plus.
