• We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. Essential Job Functions:

General Responsibilities:

• Provide Account Executives, Producers and Clients with service needs updating existing accounts                                  

• Provide, with a positive attitude, a high level of support in maintaining, expanding, and servicing personal accounts

• Process various transactions within customer files as provided by team members.

• Perform various rating calculations and quotations as requested.

• Prepare certificates, evidence of property insurance, and schedules of insurance as requested.

• Follow up on customer file suspense according to agency guidelines.

• Understand the role of automation in our agency and maximize utilization of its' capability for customer service, additional coverage sales, marketing and underwriting activities.

• Maintain licensing and/or educational requirements as well as continue their Professional Development.

Required Qualifications:

• 1+ years' experience in insurance in a similar customer support/service role

• 4-40 Customer Service Representative License

• Proficient with MS Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook, Word

• Strong written and oral communication

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Team Player with Positive Attitude

Salary range for this opportunity is between $65,000 and $85,000.

• Reviews company records to determine amount of insurance in force on single risk or group of closely related risks and evaluates possibility of losses due to catastrophe or excessive insurance.

• Underwrite or broker risks, ensuring that all required information is obtained, proper applications are completed, quotes and binders are confirmed in writing, policies are issued promptly and accurately, state filings (where applicable) are made, and taxes paid in accordance with appropriate state laws.  Secure payments on risks bound or written.

• Review, analyze and underwrite risks submitted by Producers, rate submissions for premium and terms, analyze exposures for quotes for new and renewal business, issue written indications, quotes and binders; use inspection companies to obtain further information, quote rates, or explain company underwriting policies.

• Markets and meets with retail agency customers to develop business and cultivate relationships to grow a book of business.

• Understand and extend Company facilities, utilizing binding authorities or brokering risks when required to successfully negotiate a placement; be responsible for your underwriting results.

• See that coding on specific required forms are completed and utilized.

• Service and perpetuate existing business, produce new business, and have a keen awareness of priorities.

• Instruct and train processors and assistants, review indications, quotes, binders, submissions and policies for completeness and accuracy.

• Foster and improve relationships with other departments, producers, companies, and competitors.
