American Specialty is a leading, nationally-recognized SPORTS, LEISURE & ENTERTAINMENT insurance organization serving clients in the professional sports, amateur sports, leisure and entertainment industries. We are currently looking to add Associate Business Development Leaders to our sales team. These are licensed, full-time, exempt/salaried "inside-sales" positions in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The role of the Associate Business Development Leader ("BDL") is a foundational sales position within our Client Services Department. The Associate BDL will work closely with the Business Development Leader in an assigned territory to sell and service some of the most exciting industries in the country. The Associate BDL will learn the critical fundamentals of our sales process through thorough training and daily education as guided by our Client Services leadership team. You will learn about the ever-changing details concerning insurance products and policies, while managing a book of business. The Associate BDL will also prospect for new business leads. Best of all, we will give you the tools on how to make it all possible!

- Training and Development – Our Associate BDLs receive insurance training through our internal development programs, including insurance courses for required Property & Casualty and Life & Health licensing in all states upon hire.

Essential Duties:
- Sell and service existing renewal business within a specified territory.
- Prospect new business opportunities within a specified territory.
- Grow brand and product awareness with insurance brokers throughout a region.
- Additional projects assigned by leadership to expand teammate's skill set and help facilitate the company's continued growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Business Management, Sales, or Insurance & Risk Management.
- Two to four years of prior insurance experience preferred, but not required.
- Inherent desire to learn, succeed, and achieve assigned goals.
- Problem-solving abilities.
LOCATION:
Open to remote locations, but Fort Wayne, Indiana is preferred.
TRAVEL:
Limited travel may be needed with this position.
