The Role
As a Procurement and Supply Chain Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Reporting to the Head of Procurement & Supply Chain, you'll be responsible for delivering strategic and operational value in support of the Business and Cavendish Nuclear strategic goals and objectives.
Day-to-day, you'll be expected to create new value streams through strategic relationship management with internal and external Business partners, impacting the top and bottom line; you'll also, be ensuring the Operational delivery of functional support to all major projects within the Business through a highly professional procurement solution throughout the project life cycle:
- Leading Procurement and Supply Chain support to a Portfolio of BUs.
- Line Manager responsibilities to all P&SC staff across the Portfolio of BUs.
- Building strategic relationships and partnerships with the BU S Director and Management teams to support business growth opportunities.
- Member of the P&SC functional management team accountable for delivering the strategic goals and objectives of the business and Cavendish Nuclear.
- Work with senior stakeholders and partners to develop and challenge the business strategy, portfolio of projects and priorities such that realistic and ambitious expectations are realised.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and requires regular travel to Warrington or Preston on a weekly basis alongside home working arrangements.
Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. Essential Experience of the Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist:
- Fully conversant with and able to apply senior stakeholder management and advanced influencing techniques.
- Can effectively manage a complex stakeholder environment across multiple individuals and organisations over long time periods.
- Can plan, organise and manage resources to bring about the successful delivery of specific project goals and objectives (including pre and post contract award).
- Ability to manage teams spanning multiple projects at once and articulate to senior teams the key stages of each project.
- Confidently leads a team that manages procurement projects to meet or exceed expectations for quality, time and cost.
Qualifications for the Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist:
- Ideally, you will hold a recognised professional procurement qualification (CIPS / MCIPS) or equivalent / similar.
