As a Technician at Carma you are responsible for inspecting, diagnosing and carrying out necessary and relevant service and repair work to all Carma cars to meet quality standards and set targets. The role works as part of the operations team, sharing ideas, problem-solving and refining best practices.
HOW YOU’LL DO IT
- Work across the initial vehicle inspection, test drive, repairs and delivery preparation inspection, ensuring that quality standards are met in any repair being completed.
- Work across inspection as required, this includes completing the Carma certification checks and test drives, to accurately assess the current condition of the vehicle mechanically, and noting down all repairs that would be required for the car to meet Carma standards.
- Complete mechanical repairs, servicing and diagnosis to a high standard, whilst achieving set daily and weekly targets in regards to output.
- Running delivery preparation inspections as required, including final QC check, test drive and any necessary repairs
- Complete E-safety checks (pink/ blue slips) if required
- Work alongside apprentices, supporting their training and development as required
- Problem-solving and diagnosing at various stages of a vehicle's lifecycle in the Carma production facility
- Create a culture of continuous improvement, and a passion for the customer and be a role model for teamwork to ensure that the workshop is delivering against its objectives.
- Support the continuous improvement of Carma processes and provide feedback to improve efficiency and productivity
- Maintain a clean work area and take pride in our workshop being maintained to the highest standard and one where you would be proud to show our customers around!
- Provide feedback and collaborate with management helping the effective and ongoing development of production software, systems, and processes
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 0 -5 years of multi-brand experience as a Light Vehicle Technician in a workshop
- Current Motor Mechanic Tradesperson Certificate
- E-safety (Pink/ Blue slip) certification would be beneficial
- Experience working across a range of makes and models would be advantageous
- Tech savvy, able to navigate different systems and adapt to new systems
- Ability to work in a busy environment with pressure and occasionally, changing priorities
- Attention to detail and a focus on the quality of work
- Ability to work with lean manufacturing principles
- Current NSW driver licence and ability to drive automatic and manual cars
Salary: from $85,000 + superannuation
