About the Role
Base Location: Thames Valley Region
Salary: £28,072 - £32,605 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time
As a Driver, you'll be responsible for:
- Collecting and delivering chapter 8 (rigid plastic barriers and road signs) from highway and private sites.
- Ensuring depots are replenished with chapter 8 to enable teams to undertake excavation works whilst liaising with colleagues to ensure North & South depots have sufficient chapter 8.
- Undertaking driving duties and working under street works conditions, assisting line teams using 4X4's, vans, lorries / HIAB cranes to install various plant and apparatus on our network.
- Working out of hours when required to support the business in responding to faults overnight and at weekends, on a rotated basis.
- Delivering materials to sites, ad hoc and undertaking any other related ad hoc tasks as required.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Previous experience working in a similar role, hold a full current driving license. HGV Glass 2 and operating a HIAB desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
- Duties involved in this role can be physically demanding, and will involve working in all weathers, a 'can-do' attitude and excellent team working skills are essential.
- NRSWA street works signing and guarding, HIAB training and/or any experience of operating plant with relevant tickets/qualifications, are not essential, but would be advantageous.
- A high appreciation for safety in everything you do, and work with your team to promote a strong safety culture.
