The Client

Our client is a large social housing sub-contractor who operates around Yorkshire and the Midlands. This contractor works on external wall installation and cladding schemes.

The Role

Main duties are driving a company van, loading and unloading materials and assisting trades on site.

The working hours are 39-40 per week after breaks, Monday-Friday. The rate of pay is £14.55 per hour Umbrella. This contract is set to run for 5-6 months.

Requirements

• Full Clean Driving Licence
• Previous site experience
• Van Driving Experience
• CSCS Card
• Asbestos Awareness or be willing to take the online test
• Manual Handling or be willing to take the online test
• Working at Heights or be willing to take the online test
• Must be able to provide 2 x check able references if you haven't worked with Fawkes & Reece before

Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Receiving, storing and loading of customer specific orders and stock, into the delivery units ready for the day’s deliveries.
• Ensuring the right stock is picked from the correct location for customer orders, minimising errors.
• Doing stock counts, safety checks, processing returned goods as required.
• Ensuring all handling, Health and Safety procedures and operating standards are maintained in line with company policies.

Who we are looking for to join our team:
• As a Delivery Driver/Drivers mate you’ll be the face of our company, ensuring that products arrive safely, efficiently and in excellent condition.
• Previous manual handling experience and delivery experience or would be advantageous but not essential, as full training will be given to the right candidate.
• Previous experience of warehouse management systems would be beneficial.
• Valid driving licence.
• Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy customer products - mattresses, bed frames and bedroom furniture as a two-person team.
• Understands the importance of their role in home delivery and its contribution to the wider customer experience.
• Understands the importance of an effective warehousing operation to the wider customer experience
• Self-motivated, disciplined & positively contributes to the team, creating a ‘great place to work’
