About Our Client
Our client is a leading distributor of electrical, industrial, and energy solutions, serving various sectors. Known for their vast network of locations and a comprehensive range of products, they aim to maintain and improve their current performance both locally and regionally of which they are seeking for a Supply Chain Program Manager to be based at their HQ in Singapore.
Job Description
Your responsibilities include:
- Develop a strategic, targeted customer service approach to achieve and exceed annual sales quotas and margin targets for assigned accounts.
- Build and sustain strong, long-term customer relationships by understanding their needs, objectives, and challenges to effectively manage their supply chain.
- Oversee inventory programs while evaluating risks and opportunities to enhance fulfillment processes.
- Collaborate independently or with cross-functional teams to resolve complex customer escalations, such as shortages, potential production line interruptions, or quality concerns, as well as managing processes.
- Ensure timely ordering of parts to guarantee on-time delivery.
- Identify key overseas parts for cost-of-goods-sold reduction and lead efforts in deflationary initiatives.
- Drive process improvements for enhanced efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure prompt and accurate invoicing and payment processing.
- Analyze customer forecasts and usage trends to predict future demands and optimize stocking levels, considering lead times.
- Provide technical and product knowledge support to suppliers and customers, coordinating quarterly discussions to maintain account health.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with at least some years in a customer-facing role within the supply chain industry. They should have a solid foundation in program management, sales, or service and be skilled in defining and executing program requirements from end to end. Strong knowledge of industrial components (mechanical/electrical products, fasteners, fabricated goods) is essential.
Key strengths include negotiation, problem-solving, effective communication, and influencing decisions at senior levels. The candidate should be a motivated, detail-oriented self-starter with excellent time management skills and the capacity to manage multiple projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), ERP systems, and CRM tools is required, along with the ability to travel up to 20%.
