Up to £21,333.00 per annum, dependent on experience
37.5 hours per week
Our Hospital Sterile Services Unit (HSSU) transports sterile and disinfected surgical equipment to our local hospital network. If you have a full driving licence with a C1 entitlement that allows you to drive vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), you could enjoy the benefits of joining the UK's largest Healthcare Charity.
As a Driver on our Tiverton HSSU team, you're comfortable with manual handling and happy to move transport trolleys weighing upwards of 250kg. As well as a basic knowledge of current driver hour legislation, you ideally hold a driver digital tachograph card. You'll be a great ambassador for our unit and our customers' first point of contact.
As a Driver, you will:
- Collect and make deliveries by van or car to customers, driving 5.2T vehicles
- Receive and check deliveries of medical devices from customers
- Help keep equipment in good working order and report any faults
- Keep a clean, tidy work environment and identify stock issues as they arise
- Maintain accurate tachograph records and documentation
- Be flexible with your working hours (shifts operate between 4am and 9pm, Monday to Friday with varying times on Saturdays)
