East Lothian Council are looking to recruit Nursery Nurses/ Early Years Practitioners - full time/part time (full year) for their supply list.
Applications are invited from qualified Nursery Nurses available to work up to 35 hours per week across any of our nurseries and who are available immediately.

Rate of Pay from £16.37 per hour
We are currently seeking qualified (SVQ 3 or equivalent) practitioners for casual supply roles to work full or part time across the full year (48 weeks per year) in various locations.
The ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, caring, friendly with a passion and drive to help drive forward a high quality early learning and childcare service.
Knowledge and experience of Curriculum for Excellence/Pre-Birth to Three, GIRFEC, Building the Ambition and Setting the Table are preferred.
We work on the basis of 5 days per week between 8am and 6pm. Part time and full time supply work is available and applicants should be available to work throughout the year, (term time and school holidays.)

Please note - All Supply Staff are expected to complete Child Protection Training on the Council’s e-learning system within one week of being added to the Supply Register.

To work as an effective member of an early years team delivering a high quality child centred service which meets the needs of children and their families.

Qualifications
Educated to HNC in Childcare and Education or SVQ3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development (CCLD), or equivalent.
PVG Membership
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
