About the role

The CDL Class A driver will perform duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Covanta facilities and the client’s sites. Drives will have the opportunity to operate a variety of equipment including vacuum tankers, vacuum trucks, vans, and flat-beds.

Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment in a safe manner following DOT regulations and company policies and regulations.
• Drive commercial vehicles to pick up and transport waste to a designated location safely while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations.
• Ensure placarding of the vehicle meets DOT regulations.
• Maintain paperwork including expense reports, timesheets, vehicle inspection reports, manifests, and job sheets.
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma / GED preferred.
• Must be 21 years or older, due to interstate travel in a commercial vehicle and federal regulations.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.
• CDL Class A with Tanker endorsements.
• HazMat endorsement is preferred but not required.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to use a tablet for E-Logs.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities

• Prepares and makes deliveries to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-cdl)

In this role, you will report to the Kitting Services Supervisor and will work closely with Avantor's Clinical Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and makes deliveries to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-cdl)

You will lead in the identification and building of new, transformational offerings for our clients as they relate to energy system resilience. You will be responsible for identifying trends at the cutting edge of infrastructure resilience strategy, assisting with solution development, supporting associated business development activities, and managing the delivery of client engagements. You will collaborate with other Guidehouse teams and external alliance partners on activities and opportunities related to infrastructure resilience. Infrastructure resilience opportunities may include but are not limited to; assisting clients improve their restoration and reconstruction processes, evaluating extreme natural disasters as well as climate change physical risk, developing resilient investment/adaptation programs, supporting clients with cost recovery regulatory filing and stakeholder engagement, and implementing capital investment programs. You will lead opportunity pursuits, position and sell solutions, and deliver client engagements.

Responsibilities Include:

• Develop/expand long-term client relationships in the South and Mid-Atlantic region that will lead to repeat business and meeting and exceeding annual sales targets

What You Will Need:

Position Summary

Sorts and handles freight in and out of over-the-road equipment, containers, city trailers, and straight trucks. Operates forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload freight.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment in compliance with state, federal, and Department of Transportation regulations.
• Operates dock tools to ensure freight is loaded securely and properly, including maintaining straps, bars, air bags, cardboard, and dunnage.
• Loads, recoups, rewraps, and stacks freight as needed.
• Verifies shipments by reading labels and correctly securing freight for both loading and unloading trailers.
• Follows established bill and quality control procedures to ensure timely, claims-free, and cost-efficient shipments.
• Logs, reports, and processes any shortages and damages to freight.
• Promotes and maintains a safe and clean work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Warehouse, freight, dock, forklift, or pallet jack experience.
• Forklift certification or hazmat training.
• Ability to lift and move objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights.
