As a senior scheduler you will be expected to provide a service of the highest quality to the directorate, surgical specialities and, most importantly, patients by way of delivering a wide ranging catalogue of essential administrative duties. The role of a senior scheduler is one of great responsibilty; challenging and intensive but, ultimately, offering a great degree of job satisfaction with the oppurtunity to gain valuable knowledge and skills in the world of elective surgical scheduling.



You will be given a full programme of training to equip you for the best possible start in the role; regular appraisals; health and wellbeing support; and be part of a friendly, hard-working team.

My clients are a very well-established busy freight forwarder-based Manchester M50 postcode. They are committed to delivering a fast, reliable, and cost-effective logistics solution. We are now looking for them a Senior Assistant – Exports/Import

Monday – Friday 37.5 hours
Hourly rate £15.38 per hour DOE
Initially a 12 months contract

Purpose of Role:

Working within the busy Freight Management team, the purpose of the role is to manage key customer’s requirements relating to their freight shipments.
Key Tasks:
• Organising the export and import of varied cargo by any or a combination of transport modes
• Liaise with customers to obtain shipment authorisations
• Monitor and manage cargo movements from origin to final point of destination
• Ensure full compliance of appropriate legislation and regulations and all documentation relevant to the movement of cargo
• Develop and maintain close relationships with customers
• Provide regular communication to customers of shipment progress
• Manage Customs processes necessary for the export of shipments
• Resolving any customer service issues for the customer
• Obtain rates and prepare quotations on request or on receipt of a booking
• Maintain own P & L’s weekly
• Prepare documents for invoicing
• Liaising with customers to determine other opportunities for new lanes /activity
• To perform any other duties not defined in the job description as reasonably requested / expected by the Company

Personal Qualities:
• A methodical approach with excellent communication skills
• The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• An understanding of the importance of attention to detail and quality of product
• A flexible hands on approach to work and willing to complete a variety of tasks
• Ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure
• Ability to work within a team and on own initiative

Knowledge and Experience:
• Previous experience of international shipping process and Freight Forwarding is essential
• Previous experience of working with Cargowise is an advantage but not essential as training can be given
• Knowledge of export and import activities
• Proficient in the use of work/excel and email
• Previous administrative experience is essential
• Excellent organisational, problem solving and decision making skills
• Previous experience of working within a fast paced environment

We're looking for a Senior Application Engineer to join us on an 8-month fixed-term contract in Manchester to provide technology-related support and guidance to our Logistics colleagues; making sure that the systems in place are fit for purpose. As a Senior Application Engineer at Co-op, we'll look to you to design and deliver a range of solutions, from software to infrastructure, as well as providing day-to-day technical support to both internal and external partners. • Experience working in technology; running change and operations for multiple, business critical applications and services
• Good communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to translate technical language for a non-technical audience
• The ability to coach, support, and mentor colleagues; supporting them in their development
