Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Supply Chain Assistant, you will manage Supply chain on-boarding, ensuring processes are followed and compliance is achieved consistently. You will interpret Supply chain data and provide results in a clear and concise way. You will be required to gather/validate data needed about suppliers and keep a robust audit trail of all suppliers loaded to our system. You will ensure all requirements are sent to our central (Group) teams in the correct formats. You will maintain Supply chain approved list, including SMEs and Social enterprises. You will be involved in Procurement and Category Management monthly reporting. You will be required to support the Supply Chain Engagement Coordinator when planning Supply Chain engagement events (when required). You will support Senior Supply Chain Manager with Colas Group projects/activities. Develop strong relationships across the project, working collaboratively, influencing stakeholders to drive behaviours. You will support current & futures actions of the procurement & supply chain department on the carbon reduction road map in collaboration with the Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality (SHEQ) department toward the Carbon Net zero Colas Ltd’s objective by 2040. Carry out all duties and responsibilities in a manner that supports the Company Values and Key Objectives. You will support the team objectives to build a responsible supply chain, enhance Colas Supply chain capability and improve performance, practice, and behaviours to drive internally & externally continuous and sustainable improvement to achieve the Colas KPI outcomes and carbon reduction plan.
The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have a relevant degree or equivalent NVQ level. An understanding of Supply Chain and Procurement is essential. You will ideally have a minimum 2-3 years working within a similar role in Supply Chain or within a commercial environment. We are looking for someone who has the right understanding and attitude towards the role.
We are looking for a confident person who has strong communication skills with a good understanding of IT systems and advanced skills on reporting. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel and PowerBi). You will demonstrate good written and verbal skills. You will have the ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
