After successful completion of the program requirements, individuals, at the agency's discretion, MAY BE converted to a term or career appointment, without further competition. However, there is no guarantee.
This internship may be extended each academic semester for up to one year, based on the performance of the incumbent and subject to the agency's budgetary allocations. The appointment may also end early due to lack of work or funds.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
Office of the Chief Management Officer:
- Assists the Program manager and project managers in verifying applicable standard policies and procedures, and availability of funds.
- Assists in continuing review and studies of incoming project planning, execution, and related material and program activities.
- Furnishes and obtains information regarding planning, funding, progress reports, direction, and execution of projects.
Office of Global Business Development: - The office of Global Business Development within EXIM is responsible for (1) expanding and diversifying EXIM's medium and long-term portfolio, and (2) acting as the bank's global brand ambassadors. As such, our activities primarily cover three categories: education and outreach; transactional development; and partnership development. The GBD intern will assist GBD officers on client outreach, market intelligence, salesforce integration, use case marketing, and other activities as required by the position.
Office of the President and Chair: - Provides assistance in planning, monitoring, and conducting special studies, projects, and initiatives. Assists senior personnel in determining the validity, feasibility, achievability, and efficiency of special studies, projects, and initiatives, and participates in planning the studies, projects, and initiatives.
Office of Board Authorized Finance: - The Asset Management Division manages EXIM Bank's portfolio after origination. The portfolio includes precedent setting international and domestic loans. The intern would assist the Asset Management Division in loan management activities. They may work on distressed as well as performing loans.
Office of the Chief Risk Officer: - Intern would assist CPC carry out CRTI compliance reviews and other credit and compliance activities performed by the division.
Office of Board Authorize Finance: - The Transportation and Make More in America Division in the Office of Board Authorized Finance is interested in hiring an intern for the spring semester. An intern will be asked to conduct research on relevant industry statistics, to prepare forms to be sent to guaranteed lenders and other export credit agencies, to prepare portion of decision memoranda, and to assist on other transaction due diligence items. All work will be conducted under the supervision of Senior Loan Officers in the division.
