Job role

Main duties include:

Movement of palletised goods for Goods In/Out
Building/breaking down pallets of products to order
Printing pick notes/labels for despatch
Some basic use of IT
Counterbalance/Reach Truck experience beneficial

Previous Warehouse experience is a must, but training will be provided.
New FLT passes considered – Inhouse Refresher training/assessment will be provided upon start.
Good attention to detail
Manual handling/ H&S adherence
Clean environment, Excellent facilities.

Working hours are:

Monday to Friday 0600-1400 / 1400 - 2200

Rotating weekly

Major duties and responsibilities include:

• Receiving work assignments and direction regarding work methods, procedures and schedules from either the Transportation Coordinator and/or the Mobility Manager.
• Arriving at and departing from pickup and discharge points at scheduled times.
• Reading installation maps and judges road/traffic conditions to determine the shortest and safest route.
• Enforcing passenger safety and seatbelt use.
• Using multiple variations of Mobile Data Computer (MDC) in and out of the vehicles for assigned trips and duties daily.
• Loading and unloading patients and medical supplies.
• Performing operator maintenance such as checking fluid levels and air pressure in tires, cleaning and washing of vehicles, and performing inspection checklists to ensure safe and proper operation.
• Maintaining records and document actions, such as operator inspection checklists/forms and accident/incident reports.
• Using two-way radios (or other device) to maintain communications with dispatcher/supervisor on assignments and locations.
• Possessing Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement is required for the position.
• Completing Basic Life Support training successfully.
• Performing related duties as assigned.

This position is located at the Milo C Huempfner VA Medical Center, Green Bay. The Medical Supply Technician (Sterile Processing) provides sterilization, preparation, supply items and reusable medical equipment decontamination and distribution support for the medical center.

Duties:
-Receives contaminated critical and semi-critical Reusable Medical Equipment (RME) in the decontamination area and may receive noncritical equipment in the decontamination area as well.
-Disassembles the RME and determines the correct cleaning method, such as but not limited to ultrasonic cleaners, mechanical washers, cart washers and chemical cleaning/decontamination agents, as determined by manufacturer instructions.
-Inspects, assembles, and determines the correct method and packaging for sterilization such as but not limited to steam, Sterrad, Steris, and high level disinfecting scope reprocessors.
-Performs and documents daily operational checks and records for all sterilization equipment.
-Prepares operating room case carts daily utilizing surgery schedule.
-Removes soil, blood, tissue fragments, body fluids and other contaminants by wiping, soaking, rinsing and scrubbing.-Inspects packages for indications of proper sterilization, assembles basic sets and trays used throughout the medical center including those used in the operating room.
-Operates equipment involved in sterilization processes.

Work Schedule: First Shift, times will vary between 6am-630pm with holiday and weekend rotation.
