About Us: We are a welcoming and inclusive primary school located in Taunton, dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching environment for our students. We are currently looking for enthusiastic and flexible Supply Teachers to join our team on a part-time or supply basis.
Job Description: As a Supply Teacher, you will support the school by stepping in to deliver engaging and effective lessons during teacher absences. Your main duties will include:
• Delivering pre-planned lessons to various classes.
• Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.
• Providing one-on-one or small group support to students when necessary.
• Adapting to different classroom settings and student needs.
• Supporting students with their learning and development.
• Managing classroom behavior and ensuring a safe learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality teaching across different year groups.
• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular class teacher.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback as needed.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of individual students and groups.
• Communicate effectively with other staff and contribute to the school community.
Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Supply Teacher or in a similar educational role is preferred.
• A passion for teaching and supporting student learning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Relevant teaching qualifications (e.g., QTS, PGCE) are preferred but not essential.
• DBS clearance or willingness to undergo a DBS check.
