Role Purpose
We are recruiting a committed and reliable HGV Class 2 (Cat C) Hiab driver to join our dynamic team, based at our Hackney depot, serving our teams in London and across South East England. As a valued member of the team, you will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of works servicing key infrastructure projects.
This is a permanent role working Monday to Friday with regular opportunities for weekend work. A flexible approach to working times is required to suit the needs of our Projects.
Role Summary
• Be able to drive and operate 32ton lorry with Hiab crane
• Operate Hiab crane to load/unload materials in a safe manner
• Accurately carry out daily safety checks on your vehicle and report any defects
• Responsibly check all loads before you drive on every occasion
• Capable of Manual Handling i.e. strapping and securing loads
• Adhering to the Health and Safety Law and Policy and follow all procedures in place.
• To deliver goods and equipment to site.
• Complete all paperwork to validate accuracy of delivery and collection
• To assist loading the vehicle
• To work closely & effectively within other areas of the business.
• Responsible for keeping the lorry clean & tidy.
• Experience with Plant and Materials desired
• Be responsible & have working knowledge of their digital tachograph & driving/working time regulations.
• Assist in the yard as requested
• Carry out any other duties appropriate to this post
Key Competencies
Experience Required
• Minimum 2 years’ experience
Essential Qualifications
• Driver must hold Driver CPC Card
• Unrestricted HIAB (required) ALLMI qualification preferred
• HGV driving Licence (Category C/Class 2)
Desirable Qualifications
• FORS Qualifications preferential
