In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Supply Chain Manager to support building a responsible supply chain, enhance Colas Supply chain capability and improve performance, practice, and behaviours to drive internally & externally continuous and sustainable improvement to achieve the Colas KPI outcomes and carbon reduction plan. The role requires a collaborative approach, working with our supply chain and delivering tangible added value to all parties.

Main ResponsibilitiesYou will be managing supply chain on-boarding, ensuring processes are followed and compliance is achieved consistently whilst interpreting Supply chain data and provide results in a clear and concise way. You will be maintaining Supply chain approved list, including SMEs and Social enterprises and maintaining a list of potential Supply chain. You will be supporting the planning and organisation of Meet the Buyer (MtB) events, including support to run the events (please note travel is required) and supporting Senior Supply Chain Manager with Supply chain comms, whilst administrating the Supply chain management system. You will run market analysis to support Bidding and Procurement teams and support the Senior Supply Chain Manager with Colas Group projects/activities. You will ensure accuracy of information and that it is clear and simple for the team to review. You will develop strong relationships across the project, working collaboratively, influencing stakeholders to drive behaviours. To carry out all duties and responsibilities in a manner that supports the Company Values and Key Objectives.
The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have a relevant degree or equivalent NVQ level. You will ideally have up to 7 years experience working within a similar role within supply chain engagement or within a commercial environment. We are looking for someone who has the right understanding and attitude towards the role.
As a Supply Chain Engagement Coordinator, excellent communication skills, time management and organisational skills are essential. You will be detail orientated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once and be an independent worker with high degree of professionalism. You will be customer focused and be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal skills as well as having the ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions.
We are looking for a confident person who has strong customer service skills with a good understanding of IT systems, who will ensure supplier interactions are centrally recorded and interdependencies across the wider supply chain are fully mapped. A UK driving licence is required.
