Your new role
Southend Council are looking to appoint a full-time, experienced Commissioning & Research Officer within a 12-month fixed term capacity, to help transform and modernise care and support in Southend.You will co-produce change with people who need support along with their friends, families, and the residents of Southend. Salary Range: Band 4 FTE £28,919- £32,110. Actual starting salary £24,803 with performance based, yearly increments available

Our academy operates across two sites. The Lower Academy specialises in the teaching of our Key Stage 3 students, whilst The Upper Academy specialises in teaching Key Stage 4 and 5.

The appointed Mathematics Teacher will begin their BA career at the academy site best suited to their skill set. We are able to offer opportunities to teach a wide range of abilities in KS3, KS4 (GCSE Maths / GCSE Statistics) and KS5 (Functional Skills / ALevel Maths/ ALevel Further Maths)

With an ethos of developing internal talent, there are opportunities to take on additional responsibility, driving change as we implement NCETM's Maths Mastery approach to teaching.

What skills and experience we're looking for

We wish to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Science, with a specialism in Biology,to join our talented Upper Academy Science department.

The successful Science Teacher will have the skill set to teach KS4 AQA Combined Science Trilogy and KS5 Biology, a popular A Level option in our thriving sixth form.
