Join our Economic Crime Intelligence Lab in a key Data Science role you'll see how a leading FinTech fights fraud whilst ensuring continuity of the service our customers expect. You're going after the fraudsters, the social engineering con-artists and money mules. In turn this helps to protect customers and wider society from the harm caused by fraud and scams.

You'd be using your skills in Python to update and maintain our machine learning libraries underpinning our fraud controls. You'll work with new technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Pyspark), toolsets and techniques to embed the latest solutions into our products. Your skills will in time be utilised within wider Economic Crime areas with exposure to even wider technologies and learning.

Ultimately you'll get to identify innovative solutions within machine learning and use statistical analysis to detect and prevent fraud against our customers and the bank. Your input will help our fraud detection become ever more sophisticated through improved accuracy i.e. less interruption of genuine customer transactions. You'll also have very well-defined success metrics (e.g. detection rate, alert rate) and an abundance of meaningful, complex data for you to get stuck into.

What skills and experience we're looking for

Horbury Academy is seeking to appoint an inspiring and dedicated Teacher of Mathematics. The successful applicant will be committed to ensuring that every pupil is challenged to achieve their maximum potential. You will have passion and enthusiasm, alongside the skills and desire to develop pupils in your classes and help them achieve excellent academic results. You will have a deep interest in the attainment of pupils at every ability level and show vigour and initiative.

We value challenge and active participation. The successful applicant will relentlessly pursue instilling an interest in their subject amongst all pupils, they will be innovative, with demonstrable resilience, vision and energy. The ability or desire to teach at A Level would also be encouraged but is not essential.

We offer an extensive programme of academy and Trust professional development to ensure all colleagues continue to develop as practitioners and have opportunities to work collaboratively across subjects and across academies within our Trust.

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) will have an experienced subject mentor assigned from day one in post. Colleagues are supported through their early career years with regular check ins from line managers and opportunities to meet with other ECT’s across the Trust and colleagues from HR where any further support and guidance may be required. We are an inclusive academy and Trust and embrace opportunities to develop all colleagues on their journey to success.
