An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Practitioner to assist in delivering excellent learning and teaching within Science at de Stafford School.
Your Opportunity
We are seeking to appoint an innovative, dynamic, and passionate aspiring or accredited Lead Practitioner to work in our school. The Lead Practitioner will work in partnership with the Leader of Science as well as senior leaders to provide professional guidance and support in teaching across the curriculum and have the passion and knowledge to drive standards forward in a key core subject area. They will have classroom responsibilities as well as leadership time to ensure their strategies can be embedded across the school.
The Lead Practitioner will model and help to deliver professional development to promote successful teaching and learning strategies for all teachers and associate staff. They will lead by example in the classroom, providing support for colleagues with guidance from the Teaching and Learning Team. This is an exciting role that focuses on the practical application of research and best practice in the classroom. We are looking for a talented individual who can contribute to establishing excellent teaching and learning across the school.

• have recent and consistently excellent teaching experience,
• have proven experience of high standards of secondary classroom practice,
• show evidence of a commitment to excellence and the maximising of academic and personal achievement for all children,

de Stafford School
de Stafford is an 11-16 comprehensive school located in Caterham, Surrey which joined GLF Schools MAT in December 2016. The school has a PAN of 180 students per year group. The school serves predominantly the local Caterham community with the majority of students residing within the CR3 catchment area.
