1. Job Scope: Pre-interview reading of student profile and interview questions, interviewing secondary school students (incl. those who may have special education needs), post-interview debrief with the research team, any subsequent verification of transcripts if necessary. Willing to travel to on-site school location. Voice recorder will be provided.
2. Working Arrangement: Research Team will notify of interview slots and confirm them 3 to 7 days in advance. Availability for last-minute stand-ins in case of illness will be good. As much as possible, if available for interviews between Januaryand March/April 2025 and 2026 would be an important advantage as this is a longitudinal study and we will try to pair students with the same interviewer. We will try to assign roughly 2 to 6 interviews per week. Unfortunately, we cannot promise anything more concrete due to our dependence on school availability for the interview sessions. All interviews will take place after curricula hours, ~1.30pm to 5.30pm.

Salary: $20 per hour, expected minimum commitment per day = 4 hours

Job Description:

• Prepare Science apparatus for experiments and Mathematics manipulatives for lessons.

• Keep Science apparatus and Mathematics manipulatives after lessons.

• Assist the HOD/Science and HOD/Mathematics to develop a stock list for stocktaking, do stock taking of both Science apparatus and Mathematics Manipulatives and maintain the stock list after yearly stock taking.

• Organise return and collection of Math and Science deskcopies on an annual basis.

• Organise Math and Science resources neatly in Math cupboards and in the Science laboratories.

• Perform simple repair of equipment and manipulatives when needed.

• Work with teachers to create simple manipulatives and/or any other materials for Math and Science Departments programmes.

• Support the Math and Science Departments for recess activities.

• Help with photo-taking for Math and Science programmes or activities.

• Work with teachers to take simple Math and/or Science teaching videos.

• Provide administrative support as deployed by the school.

Job Description:

• Prepare experimental setups for all lab activities and trial theexperiments and modify the experiments, when required, prior to the Science curriculum/enrichment lessons and Science CCA.
• Prepare additional apparatus for teachers who wish to carry out additional Science activities and be on hand to help out during Science Workshops conducted by the school.
• Assist with the purchase of materials required for experiments forboth Science curriculum lessons/enrichment and Science CCA in alignment with budget requirements.
• Ensure and maintain the cleanliness of the two Science Labs.
• Conduct stock-taking of all apparatus and resources belonging to the Science department at least twice a year.
• Maintain a logbook for entry of classes into and out of the Science labs.
• Maintain a logbook for entry of any broken/condemnation of apparatus and chemicals for the Science labs.
• Preparation of the Outdoor and Indoor Hydroponics/Urban Farming Facility for planting and harvesting followed by cleaning of the facility in preparation for the next harvest.
• Monitoring of the Science Ecological Gardens and assist in replacement of plants where required.
• Maintanence of the Laboratory Aquariums (which includes thechange of water and assist in replacement of plants and livestock where required).
• Prepare materials and tools required for makerspace recess activities and workshops
• Manage and maintain makerspace equipment, including 3D printers, digital cutters and other tools.
• Provide technical support and assistance to makerspace users regarding equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the makerspace.
• Support in miscellaneous administrative school matters required by the HOD/LH Science/School Admin.
• May also be deployed to help other departments in the school or school events/activities, should the need arise.

Job Description:

Daily basis:

1. Clean and tidy 2 NFS kitchens, food preparation and needlework rooms.

2. Prepare ingredients and equipment for teachers to conduct Food & Nutrition (F&N) activities and practical work in the NFS kitchens daily.

3. Prepare students’ ingredients and materials before lesson.

4. Assist in checking and storing of goods.

5. Assist in stock taking of equipment in the NFS kitchens, food preparation and needlework rooms.

6. Assist to ensure safety in the kitchen eg switching off of gas valves, safe keeping of sharp objects such as knives.

7. Assist in ensuring the kitchen is ready for N and O levels National examinations.

8. Assist in doing major spring cleaning of 2 NFS kitchens, food preparation and needlework rooms during the June and December school holidays.

9. Any ad hoc duties assigned as and when required based on the needs of the school.
