About the Opportunity: As a sales engineer, you will combine technical knowledge with sales skills to achieve sales targets and build strong territory presence and pipeline, developing the Research market for Andor products. The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for generating, qualifying, and managing all sales leads, prospects and new customer accounts to meet/exceed agreed team and individual sales objectives. You will identify new markets and customers, strengthen existing customer relationships and develop new business relationships within the defined territory. Complete territory mapping highlighting critical accounts and contacts and high impact activities, and will take ownership of customer problems and issues, works to resolve them and see them through to resolution

Key tasks and duties:

- Determine and action sales strategies and goals for each product and service. Manage designated sales leads, prospects and customer accounts in a manner incumbent with agreed business objectives.
- Develop an annual Territory Plan to structure the year’s key business activities and objectives. Follow-up all sales opportunities (Direct and indirect) on a timely basis. Capture and document all pertinent information in the Andor CRM tool.
- Manage Key Account relationships and annual frame/blanket orders for annual consumption of repeat business orders. This will include attention to Terms and Conditions of these orders, pricing negotiation, and obtaining regular forecasts from Annual Order customers to monitor their consumption pace.
- Provide forecast data in support of company Sales & Operations Planning.
- Coordinate efforts to determine specifications for customized products as required by customer needs. Work closely with Andor engineering and product management resources to ensure best solution for customers at best profitability.
- Evaluate product and service offering in terms of customers technical needs and manufacturing.
- Provide answers to technical and commercial queries from customers.

About YOU:
The right candidate for this role will have Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a science, engineering or business discipline. Experience with spectroscopy or other physical science instrumentation. You will have a minimum 2 years’ experience in a senior field sales role or 4 years sales experience; experience in selling or supporting technical and high-value products, with a strong background in business development, including relationship building, contract and terms review, complete customer interaction with multiple departments and functions. ROLE SUMMARY

You will oversee the successful launch, implementation, operation and maintenance of a novel digital planning solution for our Vaccines Research and Development’s (VRD) clinical testing operation based on the Appian AI Process Platform. This software, along with the associated business processes, will play a critical role in capacity planning and prioritization for VRD.  You will collaborate closely within cross-functional teams including VRD Program Management, CIHO Assay Leads, and CIHO Leadership to ensure a modern, streamlined and efficient clinical testing operation. This R&D software engineer position will focus on web development using JavaScript and framework development using C++, C# and/or .NET. The candidate will work within a team of software engineers to build high performance, cloud-based  training, visualization, and dissemination applications.

The Pfizer Connect Health & Science Representative (PCHR) is responsible to increase product awareness, educate customers and attain the goals of their Business Unit through fully remote / virtual customer interactions. The PCHR is charged with relationship development and promotional efforts with U.S. customers and accounts.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Engage with customers virtually, primarily from a dedicated Pfizer Connect Center, to compliantly grow the business and drive product demand by proactively providing solutions to achieve business objectives and needs.
• Generate product demand by educating customers and promoting the product.
• Effectively build rapport with customers in fully virtual environment; develops a methodical approach toward calls (e.g., clear next steps and appropriate documentation, managing to KPIs)​; adapts approach based upon opportunities and insights; uses Total Hospital or Total Office call as required for assigned BU.
• Understands and uses approved promotional materials to support marketing message.
• Uses approved Pfizer resources to support customers, accounts, HCPs and patient’s needs (demonstration units, samples, vouchers, co-pay resources) and works effectively across multiple virtual engagement platforms based on customer preferences/compliance guidelines​.
• Integrates guidance and insights from management/other support roles/technical solutions (e.g., content recommendation engines) into pre-call planning​; proactive planning and optimization of call environment (Center location and work-from-home); able to effectively plan day-to-day work based on personal and customer schedules​; collaborate effectively with other Customer-Facing (CF) colleagues and Pfizer Connect team members.
• Builds and demonstrates a mastery and utilization of all virtual tools and resources; effectively use calendaring tools, leadership goals, and personal insights to address customer priorities on outbound calls effectively.

• Discuss negotiated contract terms and contract options (where appropriate and with approved language); answer on-label questions; advocate for Pfizer on-demand portal (Galaxy) with access to appropriate targeted content.
• Learns to apply triaging protocols to create connections with appropriate SMEs using digital apps to send compliant messages for rapid responses; uses warm transfers for real-time hand-offs to cross-functional experts with some limitations.
• Complete cross-training on select to-be-identified assets outside of home BU for ‘surge capacity’ coverage.
• Stays current with all required training, including Compliance, and routinely enhance skills through self-study, development programs, conferences and / or training classes at local and / or remote locations.​

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree with 0-3 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's degree with four years of relevant experience; OR Six years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent 
• Goal-oriented individual with a strong desire to be in promotional role; have core skills of customer service orientation, initiative, planning and follow up, work management, and judgment/problem solving.
• Able to be on telephone or other virtual platforms for a full working day and speak clearly and effectively to all assigned customers.
