What a Director Data Science, Visa Consulting & Analytics does at Visa:
The Data Science Director will be a member of VCA Data Science team in Asia Pacific and will report to the Head of Data Science overseeing the IPVMC cluster. The position will be based in Visa’s Singapore office.
The individual will be accountable for leading the design, development and implementation of analytics-driven strategies as well as high-impact solutions for Visa clients. He/she will bring in deep expertise from banking/payments domain with a strong background in data science to solve complex problems and unlock business value.
Key responsibilities include:
Collaborate with business leaders, internal stakeholders and client teams to understand business needs and identify the strategic areas where data science can drive strong business impact, in alignment with the organization's goals and priorities.
Develop holistic data science strategies for driving innovations, accelerate new solution launches, create data offerings in alignment with business strategy
Provide leadership and guidance to the data scientists and play a critical role in ensuring project success for IPVMC engagements
Establish best practices for data science project governance, solution development and operationalization
Continuously explore and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to ensure that our organization and team remains at the forefront of machine learning and AI.
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring effective utilization of resources and alignment with financial targets.
Establish clear success measures for data science projects and drive continual improvement
Promote thought leadership in the data science domain and build intellectual property through innovation
Effectively interact with clients and manage internal/external stakeholder communication
If required on a per-project basis, work onsite for a short duration

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
