Responsibilities Include:
Quality Assurance and Curriculum Development:
• Ensure that schemes of learning for all secondary groups are highly effective, in line with National Curriculum expectations, and tailored to prepare students for further education.
• Stay abreast of best practices and research interpreting findings to enhance the curriculum and meet the unique needs of the Wickersley Partnership Trust.
Strategic Leadership and Development:
• Lead by example, embodying the vision, purpose, and values of the Trust for students, staff, governors, and parents.
• Promote an ethos and educational direction that fosters effective teaching, successful learning, achievement, and wellbeing.
• Ensure that leadership, management, finance, and administration support the Trust's vision, aims, and values.
Teaching and Learning Excellence:
• Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons that motivate, inspire, and improve student attainment, modelling outstanding practice.
• Maintain high standards of teaching and learning to raise attainment and ensure all students make excellent progress.
• Uphold high standards of student behaviour in accordance with Trust and school policies.
Team Leadership and Development:
• Build a positive and collaborative team ethos within the Maths department, celebrating strengths and fostering innovation and success.
• Support and develop professional learning opportunities for Maths educators, identifying and nurturing talent.
• Plan, allocate, and evaluate work, delegating tasks and responsibilities effectively.
Resource Management and Accountability:
• Work with senior colleagues to recruit, deploy, and develop staff effectively to enhance educational quality.
• Assist in setting priorities for expenditure, allocating funds, and ensuring efficient administration and control.
• Hold accountability for outcomes in Maths education across Trust schools and support leaders in implementing Trust behaviour policies.
General Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the strategic management and development of Trust schools, maintaining awareness of curricular, pastoral, and administrative aspects.
• Promote Trust policies and procedures to support staff in their roles and represent the Trust at relevant meetings and functions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Qualified teacher status and substantial experience in Maths education.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Excellent understanding of curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to the vision, values, and goals of the Wickersley Partnership Trust.
