GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This job manages the daily operations of a complex large/multiple full time locations/physician practices.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages the day to day operations of the physician practice(s), including front and back office functions. (20%)
• Supervises staff, resolves problems and implements approved disciplinary action. Interviews, hires, trains and conducts performance evaluations. (20%)
• In conjunction with the director, develops the practice budget. Manages and monitors key financial and revenue cycle metrics, including staff hours, resource allocation, expense budget, patient volumes, and the revenue cycle process. Provides primary (or secondary) review of reconciliation of monies being collected and deposited. (20%)
• Responsible for monitoring patient satisfaction reports, identifying variances from standard, addressing and resolving patient complaints. (10%)
• Responsible for quality and performance improvement by monitoring metrics and addressing deficiencies. (10%)
• Works collaboratively with physicians, leadership and health professionals to accomplish organization and practice goals. (10%)
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements. (10%)
• Requires frequent travel to various practice locations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree
• 3-5 years’ experience in physician practice setting with 2 years’ practice management experience.

Preferred

• Experience managing multiple sites.
• CPPM (Certified Physician Practice Manager) certification.

• Spend quality time in the field with local and regional team members to demonstrate best practice with data collection, time management and overall efficiency.
• Review incoming data and imagery to determine its quality relative to standards and guidelines.
• Provide constructive and actionable feedback to team members to meet both production and quality expectations.
• Create action plans to help team members grow, succeed, and maintain their engagement.
• Professional and effective communication with employees and internal partners to meet company objectives.

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will support the Inflammation MSL team and report to the Executive Director Field Medical. The Sr. Manager will partner with Inflammation Leadership to advance organizational strategies and goals. The Sr. Manager will lead and drive the overall strategic needs for the MSL Therapeutic Areas as designated by the Therapeutic Area MSL Lead.

• Assist with implementation and execution and serve as the direct point of contact for the Medical Value and Access team and IDN strategy for the TA MSLs including tracking and reporting KPIs and insights to senior leadership.

• Applying effective project management skills, advance key team projects and initiatives under the direction of TA MSL leadership.

• Assist with onboarding new hires and overall MSL field readiness and continued up-skilling for the Therapeutic Area MSL team regarding Medical Value and Access

• Provide leadership for FME, Medical Operations and PMC regarding specific TA needs for ALIGN and dashboard needs for MSL and senior leadership needs for documentation and reporting.

• Provide leadership and collaborate with cross functional teams for the training steering committee and ensure appropriate resources in collaboration with GLP, Medical and Sci Comm teams.

• Influence the analysis, design, and construction of the SEP and tactical implementation plans for the MSL team. Provide insights and recommendation into long-range goals and resource needs for the team.

• Provider leadership and incorporation of US Medical, Sci Comm, GLP and MSL leadership on development of resources, documentation and utilization of the field MSL resources

• Contribute to and provide administrative departmental activities such as budgets, resources, and staffing needs for specified products.

• Liaise cross functionally to guide MSL support for Clinical Trials for the Therapeutic Area MSL team.

• Under direction of MSL TA Lead set strategic role for MSLs and serve as point of contact for Congresses/Medical Meetings/scientific exhibits pertinent to identified products and pipeline molecules

• Conduct briefings of key strategic MSL priorities including important metrics, impact measures, outcomes, and qualitative insights for senior management

• Assist in determining and establishing organizational structures and supervisory relationships to meet future needs of the department.

• Represent the department or Amgen as a primary internal and external contact as advised by the MSL TA Head

The Role

As a Field Research Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a team of full-time researchers capturing data that supports CoStar Group products.  CoStar Group researchers collect data, research, and imagery on assigned commercial properties to capture the features and highlights of each building.  CoStar Group customers rely on our team to offer content that drives real estate transactions. 

As a Field Research Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that researchers are always meeting both production and quality standards.  Meeting deadlines for our internal clients is a critical part of your responsibilities.  Working in the field with each of your researchers throughout the month to ensure best practices are implemented and provide coaching and mentoring is required. This role will be based in market.

Responsibilities:

• Build, train, mentor, and coach a growing team of 8-10 professional field researchers.

• Daily review of the team’s production measured against KPI metrics.

• Spend quality time in the field with local and regional team members to demonstrate best practice with data collection, time management and overall efficiency.

• Review incoming data and imagery to determine its quality relative to standards and guidelines.

• Provide constructive and actionable feedback to team members to meet both production and quality expectations.

• Create action plans to help team members grow, succeed, and maintain their engagement.

• Professional and effective communication with employees and internal partners to meet company objectives.

• Frequent travel within your region, and some travel to the Richmond, VA office is required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College

• 3-5 years’ direct operations management of 6+ employees, virtual management a plus

• Leadership and management skills, including the ability to prioritize and control the workload of a team, coaching, and mentoring through professional development.

• Experience with creating and managing effective KPIs, along with meeting performance metrics and being results-oriented.

The Program Manager is responsible for Managing projects which requires a unique set of skills that are consolidated into the role of Program Manager (PM). This crucial position sits at the center of a triangle made up between Lonza, our Customers and their Patients. You will therefore be responsible for ensuring relationships are built and that the project/program is delivered according to the expected quality, timelines and cost.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the interface between the Customer and Lonza to ensure execution and delivery according to Lonza and the Customer’s expectations

• Understand the Customer’s needs and represent their interests by acting as their advocate on-site

• Operate accordingly to PM Standard Work processes to effectively manage projects and ensure one face to the Customer

• Fully accountable for all operational aspects in leading and motivating cross-functional project teams to deliver on all scope objectives with the highest level of quality

• Ensure Customer satisfaction throughout the life of the program through collaborative relationship management with AM/Sales

• Ensure adherence to Global Program and Project Center of Excellence (PPM CoE) Standards, including maintenance of data integrity excellence in Planview

• Passionate about customer focus with a true “Customer Comes First” mindset and constantly seeks opportunities to improve performance through partnership and collaboration.

• In conjunction with Account Management, build strong relationships to maximize the Customer’s experience with Lonza

• Able to translate the strategic vision for the project into actionable objectives and plans that are ambitious but achievable

• Equally comfortable functioning in a scientific or technical environment as well as in a purely business related setting

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree is required, preferred to have degree in related Life Sciences or STEM discipline

• Preferred to have some level of exposure to Project Management or Program Management , but not required.

• Preferred to have PMP or relevant Project Management certification

• Highly preferred to have 5+ years overall professional experience in Life Science/Pharmaceuticals/Biotech/Medical Device industries, or preferred to have similar experience in related manufacturing industries.

• Highly preferred to have prior experience at CDMO within Life Science/Pharmaceuticals/Biotech/Medical Device industries. Or preferred to have contract manufacturing environment experience in other industries.

• Must be able to build consensus between customer and internal Lonza teams.

• Must be able to "influence without authority" to achieve goals, and manage competing interests between various stakeholders in projects.

• Technical understanding of mammalian cell culture manufacturing is ideal, but not required. Prior experience within Biologics and Mammalian Cell Culture projects in research or academic setting is helpful as well.
