Academic duties The Welsh Centre for Emergency Medicine Research offers exposure to a full range of research activities. The Centre undertakes quite detailed laboratory based work in the form of preclinical modelling, and a large range of both clinical and epidemiological studies. Although the candidate will be exposed to a wide range of research activities, the candidate will be encouraged to focus on an area or study of their choice. This role will give the candidate the opportunity to gain a wider understanding of research methodology and trial design (i.e. statistical design, hypothesis generating concepts).
