Cover Supervisor - secondary

At Veritas, we work with schools across London and the surrounding areas including primary, secondary, and SEN schools. This includes private and independent schools as well as state schools. We are currently looking for History and Science Cover Supervisors for a secondary school in Bushey to start asap. The role will be to progress onto a teaching position. This is a full time position.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be as follows:
- cover classes
- support students of various levels and abilities
- deliver pre-planned lessons
- encourage students to engage with their learning proactively
- help students reach their attainment levels
- manage behaviour effectively
- provide a safe learning enviornment
- liaise with senior staff /colleagues

Requirements:
- degree level qualifications in history or science
- A teaching qualification desired but not essential
- previous classroom /teaching/cover supervisor experience
- experience managing behaviour
- an understanding of leading and directing a class
- strong knowledge of safeguarding
- subjected to an enhanced DBS check (Online Updated) and 2 references on file
