About us and the role:As a Science Technician at Avanti Fields School, you will support the delivery of high-quality science education by preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment and materials for experiments and demonstrations.
You will collaborate closely with teachers to ensure that all safety protocols are followed and that students have a, hands-on learning experience. Your responsibilities include resolving technical issues, overseeing inventory management, and creating an engaging atmosphere that promotes curiosity and exploration in the sciences.

SCIENCE TECHNICIAN – TERM TIME ONLY

We are looking to appoint a Science Technician to support the work of our large and extremely successful Science Curriculum Area. The successful applicant will have a good educational background including GCSE (or equivalent) in Science or above, together with some experience of working in a laboratory, although not necessarily in an educational setting.
THE CURRICULUM AREA
Staff
The Biology, Chemistry and Applied Science (BCAS) team currently comprises nineteen highly experienced and dedicated teaching staff and six laboratory technicians; some colleagues have responsibilities outside of the Department
Resources
Major laboratory refurbishment throughout the sciences has taken place recently. We now have an exceptional well-resourced curriculum area.
For our part we shall make every effort to support our new colleagues in making the best of the professional opportunities offered by this post.
This is a permanent, full-time, post working 37 hours per week commencing as soon as possible. The post is term time only working 39 weeks of the year.
The salary banding for this post will be 3-6 which ranges from £22,312 to £23,162 per annum. The actual starting salary is £19,367 pro rata’d.

We are looking to appoint a Science Technician to support the work of our large and extremely successful Science Curriculum Area. The successful applicant will have a good educational background including GCSE (or equivalent) in Science or above, together with some experience of working in a laboratory, although not necessarily in an educational setting.
THE CURRICULUM AREA
Staff
The Biology, Chemistry and Applied Science (BCAS) team currently comprises nineteen highly experienced and dedicated teaching staff and six laboratory technicians; some colleagues have responsibilities outside of the Department
Resources
Major laboratory refurbishment throughout the sciences has taken place recently. We now have an exceptional well-resourced curriculum area.
For our part we shall make every effort to support our new colleagues in making the best of the professional opportunities offered by this post.
This is a permanent, full-time, post working 37 hours per week commencing as soon as possible. The post is term time only working 39 weeks of the year.
The salary banding for this post will be 3-6 which ranges from £21,874 to £22,735 per annum. The actual starting salary is £18,987 pro rata’d.
