Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Research Officer to join our Discovery Research laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology, demonstrate high professional conduct, and excellent communication and teamwork abilities. The Research Officer will support and conduct various research activities, contribute to experimental design, and ensure the accuracy and reproducibility of results.
The candidate will primarily be based in ACM’s R&D laboratory and report to the Senior Scientist. Experience with small laboratory animals is not required but would be regarded as a plus. You will be part of a dynamic and multidisciplinary team to support scientific activities and advance ACM’s nanoparticle therapeutics. Responsibilities
- Plan and execute molecular biology experiments, including but not limited in vitro transfection, cell viability and fluorescence/luminescence assays, protein expression and analysis using SDS-PAGE and western blot, ELISA, RNA extraction and qPCR
- Perform cell culture techniques and maintain cell lines
- Develop and optimize protocols for new and existing assays
- Design and draft SOPs
- Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data with precision.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments and results in laboratory notebooks and electronic databases.
- Assist in maintaining lab inventory and general housekeeping
- Stay current with advancements in molecular biology techniques and technologies
- Mentor internship students
- In-vivo animal handling experience is a plus
