ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for meeting/exceeding production standards, maintaining product quality, and minimizing/preventing equipment downtime. Must be able to work both independently and as a team member and actively communicate with others to include workplace teams. Will perform continuous inspection to identify and remove critical, major, and minor defects according to standard procedures. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

2. Perform quality inspections and record accurate inspection data as required.

5. Clean equipment, floors, and workstations.
6. Sustain a productive work environment through effective communication with team members.

Position Summary                                    

Produce quality Posiflush syringes at the rate or goal set for each line while working as a team with other operators while keeping area and machines clean.  Complete quality checks on at the frequency needed. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures.  Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function.  Ability to read and write and converse in English and/or Spanish.  Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

• Assignments may be in ISM/Sterilizer/Inspection, Plunger Rod/Flow Wrappers, Multi Vac/Case Pak 

• Continually monitor operations for product quality and equipment  performance. 

• Make adjustments to equipment as needed to maintain process quality and productivity. 

• Perform or assist with product or equipment changeovers. 

• Assist line technicians or setter/operators with equipment repair or trouble shooting. 

• Keep machinery, work area and floors neat and orderly and comply with GMP requirements.

• Communicate with utilities or department scheduling group to maintain minimal material  inventory levels. 

• Work as team member to develop optimal task methods.

Repair and adjust production equipment to produce parts which conform to quality specifications, at specified output rates. Troubleshoot equipment including dismantling and reassembling of parts. Perform changeovers, line clearance and cleaning. Work as one of a team for maximum effectiveness. Responsible for product inspection, operating equipment, raw material/finished goods movement and cleaning/sanitizing. 2. Repair, adjust and trouble-shoot machinery including dismantling, replacement of parts, and reassembling. Work with technical support if necessary.
3. Assign associates to alternate tasks as needed. Instruct associates on proper job methods and follow-up to be certain the instructions are understood and followed.
4. Communicate on a daily basis with prior and post shift set-up operators regarding technical and other pertinent issues.
5. Perform preventive maintenance for respective line.
6. Keep equipment supplied with components and material necessary to sustain continuous operation, maintain equipment logs.
7. Continually monitor operations for product quality and equipment performance, including final QC lot acceptance rate.
8. Operate equipment and process functions, product inspections, perform process tests and record accurate inspection data as required.
9. Perform all product changeovers, machine lubrications, sanitization and cleaning.
10. Assist technical staff on machine modifications/testing, equipment validations.
11. Responsible to contribute to the continuous improvement of the process.
12. Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Repair and adjust production equipment to produce parts which conform to quality specifications, at specified output rates. Troubleshoot equipment including dismantling and reassembling of parts. Perform changeovers, line clearance and cleaning. Work as one of a team for maximum effectiveness. Responsible for product inspection, operating equipment, raw material/finished goods movement and cleaning/sanitizing. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English or Spanish. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Set-up machines per established procedures, to manufacture product which conforms to quality specifications, at the rated output.
2. Repair, adjust and trouble-shoot machinery including dismantling, replacement of parts, and reassembling. Work with technical support if necessary.
3. Assign associates to alternate tasks as needed. Instruct associates on proper job methods and follow-up to be certain the instructions are understood and followed.
4. Communicate on a daily basis with prior and post shift set-up operators regarding technical and other pertinent issues.
5. Perform preventive maintenance for respective line.
6. Keep equipment supplied with components and material necessary to sustain continuous operation, maintain equipment logs.
7. Continually monitor operations for product quality and equipment performance, including final QC lot acceptance rate.
8. Operate equipment and process functions, product inspections, perform process tests and record accurate inspection data as required.
9. Perform all product changeovers, machine lubrications, sanitization and cleaning.
10. Assist technical staff on machine modifications/testing, equipment validations.
11. Responsible to contribute to the continuous improvement of the process.
12. Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

• Monitor team members to ensure compliance to manufacturing documents.

• Proactively work to anticipate problems before they impact production.

• Respond when an issue is identified, lead the root cause and corrective action investigation as needed, and escalate as required.

• Perform moderate coaching of associates on minor issues to ensure production needs are met and provide the feedback to management.

• Help support training for associates in their assigned area(s).

• Assists in the preparation and organization of employee work assignments. 

• Responsible for all process documentation accuracy, completion, and handoff.

• Report attendance, scheduling, and direct the resource allocation.

• The Production Lead will interact with other Production Leads and associates on the respective/adjoining shifts to share best practices, create standardization, and ensure a smooth transition between shifts. 

• Production Leads are required to work a schedule that allows for this to occur seamlessly. Enable the development and training of associates by responding to requests and department needs.

• Assists with changes to Standard Work Instructions.

• Crosstrain on some of the production processes (packaging, Mold Utility, Mold Tech, etc.) if appropriate to fill gaps in unique or special staffing shortages (call-ins).

• Provide input to performance appraisals and performance improvement/corrective action plans.

• Champion process improvements and ensure that changes associated with Continuous Improvement (CI) activities are implemented consistently in their area. Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

Position Summary:             

Produce quality molding components at the rate or goal set for each line while working as a team with other operators.  Keep area and machines clean.  Complete quality checks at the frequency required.  Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures.  Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function.  Ability to read and write and converse in English.  Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

• Continually monitor operations for product quality and equipment performance 

• Transport material between molding area and Needle Assembly area as well as the storage area 

• Keep material cleared from auxiliary molding equipment to maintain steady flow of product

• Supplement line with molded components as needed to prevent downtime 

• Keep machinery, work area, and floors neat and orderly to comply with GMP requirements 

• Perform daily and weekly cleanings of specific area
