The Governors are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, organised and highly motivated School Business Manager to become part of our Senior Leadership Team and join the happy hardworking ethos of the school.
The key responsibilities of this role include the strategic leadership of finance, human resources, premises, health & safety and administration. The purpose of the post is to maintain and improve the high quality, secure, robust systems and structures in place, making a positive contribution to the school achieving its aims. On a day-to-day basis, the School Business Manager is involved in managing operations and logistics, as well as participating in practices that ensure smooth service delivery.
The ability to converse at ease with customers and service users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement of this post.

We are looking for a Business Manager who will:
- Be committed to uphold the Christian ethos of our school.
- Demonstrate excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Have proven experience in a financial and business management role.
- Lead and co-ordinate all administrative functions to assist in the smooth running of the school.
- Oversee the school's human resources, including recruitment and offer strategic advice in HR matters.
- Be accountable for the school finances, income, expenditure and reconciliations of school accounts to include budget preparation (in collaboration with the local authority school accountant), budget monitoring, payroll and reconciliations. Lead on procurement and to apply for bids and grants.
- Line manage the administration team and other non-academic support staff (including the in-house catering team).
- Manage capital projects, site maintenance, health & safety procedures and the school kitchen function.
- Ensure high-quality customer service for all who visit the school and work in the school.
- Assist in the maintenance of the various school computerised databases of pupil and staff information.
- Report to Governors, attend governor meetings and prepare financial and HR reports.
