As a Supervisory Loan Specialist at the GS-1165-13, some of your typical work assignments may include:

• Monitors the quality of all loan processing work, including risk review, within the unit for adherence to laws, regulations and established procedures and standards.
• Develops, implements, and maintains policy and procedural training materials associated with all aspects of disaster loan processing within the Department.
• Develops performance standards and evaluates the performance of all subordinate employees.
• Recommends policies, guidelines and procedures for disaster assistance functions within the Department.
• Assists in planning, directing, managing, supervising, coordinating, and evaluating all aspects of loan application processing.

• This is a Permanent appointment in the competitive service with a full-time work schedule.
• Employee's residing within commuting distance of the PDC may be required to physically report to the PDC five days per pay period or more often as determined by Department Management.
• Mandatory Overtime: In order to respond quickly and efficiently to disaster survivors, substantial compensated overtime hours may be required while on assignment (up to seven days a week and ten to twelve hours a day).

• Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for the completion of work; assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments and the
  capabilities of employees.
• Oversees and monitors the quality of written communications with applicants to ensure correspondence conveys accurate information, proper tone, and utilizes correct grammar.
• Exercises significant responsibilities in dealing with officials of other units or organizations, or in advising management officials of higher rank.
• Plans and manages delivery of complex high priority loan applications and services which are central to SBA and its clients.
• Responsible for analyzing the quality and productivity of the Risk Review Department.

• Determine analytical methods to be used in preparation of data, strategies for presentation of resource management recommendations.
• Perform analysis of operations and development of key performance indicators such as Schedule Conformance, and Direct Labor Hour metrics.
• Serve as a key advisor and primary liaison, directing or coordinating the activities of other key project members engaged in analyses and studies of production problems.
• Analyze complex maintenance production processes and functions, work processes and workloads pertaining to aviation depot maintenance.
• Complete projects, evaluations, reports, or recommendations are reviewed by the supervisor for compatibility with organizational goals, guidelines, and effectiveness in achieving intended objectives.
• Evaluate program goals, work operations and managerial channels of organizations involved in Maintenance Management Information Systems Analysis.

• Operating an electronic checkout system, making change, and verifying the change fund and amount of currency received during an assigned shift.
• Managing change machines and ensuring proper amounts of cash and coins are available.
• Assisting customers by answering questions concerning prices, identification, and location of items.
• Counting cash and negotiable instruments to prepare an accountability report.
• Managing the self-checkout registers assisting customers in the correct processing of their purchases.
• Changing register tape, and clearing routine equipment and scanning jams on registers.
