Experience & Skills Required
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
Experience working in senior new business sales role within the electronics products and Systems Integration Infrastructure.
Understanding of and experience of delivering open day and ‘lunch & learn’ events with clients and prospects.
Understanding of the market sectors in which the role will operate and ability to network successfully within the appropriate industry forums/organisations.
Must have experience working in B2B sales role ideally a multi-channel / distribution environment and have experience of selling at least 2 of the above product categories.
Ideally will have experience of strategic selling within an electronics product or components sector by self and through/with others in a team selling environment.
Proven verbal and written presentation and commercial skills.
Ideally degree educated (or with relevant commercial experience) and with a minimum of 5 years in a customer commercial role.
Proven track record of securing and managing high-value contracts with central government and / or defence organisations and / or System Integrators.
Experience gained in business development within the defence and/or secure communication sectors
Strong understanding of the secure communication and/or defence landscape, including key players, market trends, and emerging technologies
Familiarity with cybersecurity, and hardware components such as routers, switches and edge networking devices
Engaging and out-going personality.
Customer facing with well-developed communications skills across all channels.
Committed with ability to motivate and drive team cohesion and performance.
Willing to travel nationally / internationally.
Role to be home located but expectation of regular attendance across offices in the South East UK
Full UK Driving license

What you will be doing

Key Information

Salary: £47,000 to £55,000 per year depending on experience

Your mission

Own the growth marketing strategy and digital marketing. Utilising a mix of creativity and scientific rigour to test ideas and scale successes.

Your objectives

- Increase ROAS across paid media channels (Meta, Tiktok, Google)
- Improve website conversion rates across key conversion types (visit>registration, registration>purchase)
- Reduce reliance on paid media channels by improving organic discovery, referral and retention channels

Your responsibilities

- Ownership over revenue growth for our existing events and helping launch new experiences and products into our community.
- Line management of Social Media Content & Community Marketer
- Create paid advertising strategy and run all paid digital advertising campaigns across Meta, Google, Tiktok and any emerging platforms such as Pinterest, Snapchat etc.
- Continually audit and improve our marketing and analytics tracking to ensure consistent and reliable data, debugging and solving any issues with the support of our developers where required.
- Create and manage a website conversion rate optimisation (CRO) strategy, implementing an ongoing testing regime to understand and improve key macro and micro conversions and ultimately improve the effectiveness of our marketing funnels.
- Management of website content.
- Work with our analytics platforms inc. Google Analytics, GTM, Mixpanel, as well as session recording and variant testing tools to attribute revenue to marketing efforts, provide insights to the business on customer behaviour, and uncover opportunities for growth and efficiency.
- Create and operate a systematic approach to experimenting with marketing ideas and rapidly scaling successful ones.
- Collaborate with content marketer with technical SEO guidance (eg information schemas) and in analysing keyword opportunities.
- Collaborate with content marketer on content strategy and analysis to improve content provided for advertising purposes.
- Making minor edits to creative and copy provided for advertising purposes.
- Collaborate with product and operations team members to embed marketing into our digital experiences, events and physical products to improve customer retention and referrals.
