Summary
Job Description for Corporate Affairs Officer:
There's never been a more exciting time to be part of the nuclear sector. New opportunities are being created all the time. At NNL, you'll be in the ideal place to capitalise on this momentum, face new challenges and develop a long, successful and meaningful career.
We're an organisation that's here to experiment and push the limits of what's possible. So, if you're keen to excel in your chosen field, this is the place to do it. Because at NNL, anything is possible.
As part of NNL's future we need to build on our engagement activities across external, international and government stakeholders. We're creating a Corporate Affairs team to make ambition a reality and that's where you come in.
As our new Corporate Affairs Officer you'll be a key part of the Corporate Affairs and Communications "family" which also includes our public affairs agency. You'll help us engage our external stakeholders as part of this small but dedicated team.
We're a purpose-driven organisation - nuclear science to benefit society; this is at the heart of our messaging and we need the right people to connect with our ambition. The increased focus on energy security and driving a change in the sector landscape has placed a spotlight on the opportunities afforded by nuclear technology. We are seeing rapid growth of UK nuclear ambitions to underpin national and energy security priorities, and so the value and profile of our work is also increasing.
This role is a critical cog in the Corporate Affairs team, helping to create, co-ordinate, deliver and keep on track of our stakeholder engagement plans. Based in one of our NNL locations, you'll work with colleagues from across NNL to design and deliver agile plans to drive positive engagement sentiment.
You'll contribute to developing stakeholder engagement strategies, manage our engagement channels and roadmap, and working closely with the Communications Team, support the sourcing of content to deliver NNL's engagement strategy.
Engaging with our stakeholders is fundamental to this role, so understanding what makes them tick is critical to designing the most effective activities. You will be able to bring forward creative ideas, and must be able to demonstrate excellence in event management from concept through to delivery and evaluation and show how you work as a key member of the team to get things done. The ability to multitask a variety of projects and prioritise workload is important.
So if you're a super-organised communications and engagement professional ready for your next big challenge, this could be the perfect opportunity.
The location for this role is Chadwick House, Risley. Travel to other NNL sites and external events is expected.
