Job title: Head of Marketing
Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 per annum
Based at: Chesterfield, Derby, Leicester or Nottingham with agile working (must visit the Chesterfield office at least once per week). Additional travel may be required
Contract: Permanent, full time (35 hours per week)
1. WHY THE POST EXISTS
Do you have experience working with a senior management team, leading on marketing activity? Can you design, continually develop and implement creative marketing strategies? Are you a successful long-standing project manager who can adapt communications based on their audience?
The postholder will lead the marketing strategy development and implementation to ensure the Chamber meets its business goals, vision and member needs. The role will need an analytical and insight-led approach to shape content and focus on what drives the best engagement amongst the target audiences.
In addition, the postholder will support and lead the:
- Marketing CRM strategy continual improvement, to deliver improved and targeted campaigns resulting in increased conversions to sales such as event bookings or membership
- Planning, development and management of targeted lifecycle campaigns as well as segmented organic social media campaigns across a variety of channels.
2. THE KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Support the design, development and implementation of the Chambers marketing strategy to maximise opportunities, help to grow membership and show value in membership, along with helping the delivery and success of events/training.
- Deliver improved and targeted campaigns resulting in more prospects converting into good quality business relationships utilising the Chamber CRM system.
- Be creative and keep abreast of relevant innovation and developments to ensure marketing practices are cutting-edge and effective; including supporting delivery staff to develop their skills and knowledge to maximise performance.
- Ensure brand messaging and identity is consistent across all channels and marketing communications.
- Effectively line manage the marketing department to succeed with their goals and objectives.
3. APPLICANTS WILL POSSESS
- A Proven track record in a senior marketing role.
- Creative thinking, striving for continuous improvement.
- Experience in managing the digital services provision within a business context.
- Has managed a marketing department.
- Can lead on end-to-end marketing campaigns.
- Able to develop and deliver strategies.
- Significant experience in professionally working in a fast-paced, diverse business to achieve targets and drive performance.
- The ability to work to and achieve deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based applications.
