The successful applicant will be joining a team of experienced Cluster School Business Managers (C-SBM), who are currently overseeing several schools within the trust.

This post will further strengthen the services provided to our schools by working collaboratively with a small number of schools; therefore, flexibility is key. The successful applicant may be required on an ad-hoc basis to cover specific projects or staff absences.

The C-SBM will be jointly line-managed by our Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Heads of School and will work closely with our existing team in driving forward all aspects of improvement in the HEARTS Trust. The role is hybrid and will be based across our central office and schools.

The successful applicant will demonstrate excellence in all aspects of business administration and management, ideally within the education sector. The C-SBM position is a varied role which includes HR, finance (managing the budget and associated financial systems), assisting the Trust Finance Manager and Premises Lead with health and safety, site maintenance (via the site team) and working closely with the Head of School in the joint line management of various school-based staff.

We are seeking a highly ambitious professional who has the experience, motivation, enthusiasm and skill set to help lead the future vision and development of the schools and the Trust. The successful candidate will be committed to their own lifelong learning and development and to ensuring that we are one trust where all belong.

Due to the location of our schools, a clean driving licence and access to a vehicle are paramount. Visits are encouraged and will provide applicants with the opportunity to meet with our existing team of Business Managers.

This newly created position within the Chief Operating Officer's team offers a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced and influential leader. You will play a key role in the design and delivery of clinical strategy and 5-year road map for York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and must be committed to improving services and outcomes for patients and their families.

You will coordinate the translation of the strategy into annual business plans, which comply with the Trust’s internal needs and those of NHS Improvement and the Care Quality Commission, liaising with executive and clinical directors as required.

The role requires an individual with highly developed leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of strategy development and implementation, as well as collaborative working. The role will require a significant experience in the development and delivery of complex strategic work programmes in large scale organisations and managing integrated programmes of work in a highly complex environment.

You will be a strong communicator both orally and in writing, and able to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels: patients, colleagues, senior leaders, and senior partners. You will have a track record of working effectively with written and numerical evidence to support good decision making.

The main duties of this exciting new opportunity include but are not limited to:
• Develop relationships with the care groups leadership teams and clinic service leadership teams to support the development and delivery of a clinical strategy and annual business plans.
• Develop constructive working relationships with other providers and commissioners to contribute to ensuring that strategic plans, change programmes and delivery plans in relation to the strategic programme are informed by their plans and that opportunities for joint working are understood and capitalised on.
• Support in to gathering, verifying, and assessing all appropriate and available information to gain an accurate understanding of the future requirement of sites and impact on how services should be configured. This information will highly complex in nature and from a wide range of sour
• Develop practical and realistic long-term plans to achieve strategic outcomes/objectives to future-proof clinical service across the whole of the Trust
• Support the leadership teams in the planning and mobilisation of key service transformation projects.
• Develop, co-ordinate and submit bids for the Trust in response to funding opportunities that may present and coordinate the implementation of any successful proposals.
• To lead defined service reviews, seeing to utilise best practice and standards.
