What will I be responsible for as MICE Sales, Groups and Res. Sales Executive?

Working closely with your onsite Director of Sales and Sales Office Manager, you'll play a key part in driving revenue into our hotel - through managing and converting enquiries and finding innovative ways to maximise sales opportunities.

Duties Include:

• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and outside contacts in order to produce group and/or convention business, to include room sales, food & beverage sales, and catering/banquet services.
• Provide guests with information (example: loyalty programmes, area attractions, facility information) to enhance the guest experience.
• Communicate to appropriate departments all information requirements and special needs for arriving VIP's, large groups, and other key guests.
• Proactively market the image of the Hotel, company and the brand through quality customer care standards in accordance with the hotel's service style and philosophy.
• To ensure the effective handling of all sales enquiries (Christmas, Wedding, Events and M&E) in a timely, professional manner, following the correct procedures, working to the hotels selling strategy/ commercial plan.
• Maximise all revenue opportunities.
• Provide detailed information to the operations team ensuring all information regards events are communicated effectively.
• Conduct thorough show rounds of the hotel with both potential and existing clients
• Support further sales activity within the hotel as required
• To support the Hotel in identifying and collecting sales leads enquiries and cascading as appropriate.
• To grow and develop, existing customers through regular contact, meeting and greeting, follow up calls, etc.

What will you be doing?

• Develop an in-depth understanding of your hotels' local markets based on intelligence and knowledge of competitor activity and rates, resulting in increased revenue generation through focused sales activities for Local and National Accounts.

What we need from you

A typical day as a Sales Executive will involve:

• Field sales visits into convenience retailers on your territory promoting the Diageo spirits portfolio.
• Educating retailers on how to increase their alcohol sales through a blended method of face to face and digital interaction, and providing informed recommendations.
• Activating the products in your customers stores using point of sale.
• Negotiating additional shelf space for drinks and displays to increase the visibility of Diageo's portfolio.
• Reporting back insight and information gained during your calls

What you will be doing as a Sales Executive?

• You must be able to search for new business through pro active marketing and outreach
• To achieve a sales target monthly/quarterly/yearly target

• Ensure that all targets, forecasts, and goals set for activity levels in each area are reached to achieve the required opening target.
• Support and work with marketing strategies, KPIs and initiatives throughout the process; whilst liaising with all other departments (Operations team and Contact Centre) to integrate the selling process with the hirer/partner
• Pro-active outreach, networking and generating new National Partners focussing on what is required per venue. This will include, tuition groups, sporting activities, choir and church groups and anything else deemed appropriate within our venues.
• Monitor and track all personal sales results and activity levels on a regular daily basis, using the correct procedure and systems.
• Be accountable for the correct completion of all bookings and liaise closely with all areas of administration to ensure procedures are adhered to.
• Always sell with integrity that is right for the hirer and within our terms and conditions
• Be responsible for your personal time management that in turn ensures that the sales team is always manned at the correct levels. Weekend work and late hours may be required to perform to the required standards and to achieve an above budget performance for the number of a Venue

What you need to have in the role of Sales Executive?

• Previous experience in a similar role of Sales Executive or Contact Centre or Telesales
• Extremely strong interpersonal abilities and someone who is approachable, is vital that you have a genuine interest in wanting to help people and engaged to fulfil their individual needs
• Great time management skills and with a self-starter attitude
• A pro-active attitude and an understanding of the required activity levels needed to exceed sales targets
