Outline of the role

The Retail Apprenticeship will involve working in our store as a full -time team member, helping with every aspect of creating a great customer experience and learning about how a retailer operates their business. It is a great experience working in a fast-paced and fun environment that will prepare you for even bigger challenges. Savers Sales Assistants are extremely important to us, we recognise that you could be our Supervisors of tomorrow. We will actively develop your skills and offer real career progression supported by our excellent in-house training.

Duties will include:

· Demonstrating exceptional customer service

· Understanding the business and maintaining the brand reputation

· Resolving customer queries

· Using knowledge to promote products to customers

· Highlighting promotional offers to work towards achieving sales targets

· Supporting promotion changes and stock rotation

Your training will take place in store over the 1st 12 months so, no college days and no homework! At the end of your training period you will complete a discussion around your experiences, a multiple -choice test and an observation within your role. You will be supported throughout by your team and your assessor to achieve your Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship

· You are not currently in any form of education and you are available for full time shifts

· You HAVEN’T completed a Retail Apprenticeship before

· You have not completed a degree or more than 1 year at University

· You are eligible to work in the UK

· You are brand new to retail

Pay rate: £8.65 per hour

Hours: 39 hours a week on a 13 month contract

An opportunity has arisen within the Local Assistance Scheme Team. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, hardworking individual who is willing to take on a challenge and is committed to developing their skills and knowledge. This post is currently temporary up to 31st March 2024 for 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, however potential exists for this to be extended to 31st March 2025 dependant on further Government Funding.
As a Business Support Assistant, you will be responsible for providing a high quality and efficient administrative support service to all teams within the Revenues and Benefits Service. Additionally, you will be tasked with considering and determining applications for Free School Meals using relevant ICT systems in line with defined guidance for which you will receive training.
Duties will include dealing with sensitive and confidential information, maintaining systems, and using a range of software packages.
Main responsibilities include:

Processing and determining Free School Meal claims accurately and in accordance with the relevant guidance.
Undertaking finance duties including processing invoices and ordering stock.
Supporting the Revenues & Benefits service with a range of administrative tasks including referencing incoming work, helping customers access online services and issuing letters in a timely manner.
To communicate effectively with customers both over the telephone, email and letter.
Ideally you will have some knowledge or understanding of welfare benefits, excellent ICT skills and the ability to work under pressure. You should be able to work to individual targets and as part of a team to ensure the team meets their service standards. Within this role you will be working with vulnerable service users and their families.
