CMA Recruitment Group is delighted to be exclusively partnering with our Ringwood, Hampshire client who is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Ledger / Accounts Assistant to join our finance team.
This role is critical in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, including processing high volumes of sales invoices, performing credit checks, and assisting with month-end processes. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for accuracy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both the finance and sales teams to maintain smooth financial operations.
What will the Accounts Assistant role involve?
• Process high volume sales invoices per month, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing in line with scheduling on a quarterly, weekly, and ad-hoc basis.
• Conduct credit checks on new customers using Credit Safe and assess creditworthiness.
• Set up new customer profiles in the accounting system, ensuring complete and accurate data entry.
• Internal communication liaising with wider finance team and sales team.
• Bank Reconciliations.
• Supporting the Management Accountant in moth end duties and reporting.
• Support in new systems implementation
Suitable Candidate for the Accounts Assistant vacancy:
• Previous experience in a sales ledger or accounts assistant role, preferably with high-volume invoice processing.
• Strong understanding of invoicing processes, credit checks, and bank reconciliations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external clients.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
