We are currently looking for an Internal Sales Coordinator to join our friendly team based at Tarmac ‘The Hub’ in Mountsorrel, Quorn, near to Loughborough in Leicestershire. This role is commutable from Quorn, Loughborough, Leicester, Melton Mowbray, Coalville, Shepshed, Syston, Glenfield, Ibstock, Sileby, Kegworth, Nottingham, Derby, Grantham and the surrounding areas.

Due to the nature of the role, hybrid working may be considered on completion of successful training.

Please note this is a Fixed Term Contract – Maternity Cover

As the Internal Sales Coordinator you will have worked in a similar industry providing either internal or external sales support to your wider team and the Tarmac group.

Other responsibilities for this role will include (not exhaustive):

• Keep updated with the product range and develop in-depth knowledge of the Tarmac Readymix 'RMX' and Minimix
• Raising and pricing quotes processing to order conversion or query resolutions
• Converting enquiries into orders, working B2B sales calls and emails
• Demonstrate an excellent telephone manner when dealing with customers
• Prioritise and multitask daily duties
• Understanding and assessing customer needs – advising of new products
• Represent the company and its core values
• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
• Engage with the customer to better understand requirements
• Communicate with the supply chain to obtain pricing, stock levels and lead times

It is preferred that the successful candidate for the role of Internal Sales Coordinator will be experienced in the following:

• SAP, CRM and Microsoft IT systems
• Working collaboratively with the existing team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard
• Showing a ‘Proud to work for Tarmac’ attitude, building rapport and positive relationships with customers and internal colleagues
• Being ambitious to learn new skills and achieve your own personal goals, as well as business goal

In the role of Internal Sales Coordinator you will also have:

• Products, Procedures and our Computer systems

Internal Sales Engineer

Location: Leicester, Leicestershire

Salary: £30k - £40k + Excellent Benefits

Working Hours: 37.75 hours per week

The Client:

Our client is a well-established manufacturer firm, specialising in electrical resistors for power generation, high and medium voltage distribution.

The Role:

As an Internal Sales Engineer, you will manage customer enquiries through various channels such as telephone, email, and direct meetings.

This role may require occasional site and customer visit.

Responsibilities:

- Understand customer needs and develop customised solutions, producing detailed and competitive quotes.

- Maintain an expert level of product knowledge to provide education and pre-sales technical support.

- Ensure efficient order processing and maintain communication with customers regarding order status.

- Keep accurate records of customer interactions, enquiries, and transactions.

- Explore and pursue new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.

Requirements:

- Previous experience working as a Sales Engineer or in a similar role.

- HNC in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent apprenticeship.

- Excellent communication skills and customer-focused approach.

- Skilled in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel.

- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Control Engineering would be desirable.

- Experience with large OEMs, international customers, or high-power / high-voltage products would be desirable.

Shifts:

- Monday - Thursday: 8:15 - 17:00

- Friday: 8:15 - 13:00
