The Role: What you will do?

We have an excellent opportunity in our Kent and Medway NHS Talking Therapies service for a Senior Employment Advisor.

This is a key role in the service and combines a caseload with the management, motivation and development of a team of Employment Advisors focused on providing support and advice to our service users to help them gain, return to or retain employment. You will work closely with mental health clinicians and develop good working partnerships with a variety of stakeholders including employers, job centres, trade unions and employment agencies.

This is a great chance to use your relationship building and account management skills to gain in-depth knowledge of the local employment market and liaise with a range of schemes and initiatives to assist users with their employment situation.

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join the team at the local Council. You will act as Lead Officer for the enforcement of Health & Safety legislation & to act as Corporate Health & Safety officer ensuring that Folkestone & Hythe complies with current health, safety & fire legislation. We have an exciting new opportunity that has arisen in our NHS Talking Therapies Service across Kent and Medway as a Senior Supervisor Step 2.This role will report into our Step 2 Clinical Lead and will provide clinical governance and leadership through the provision of regular and robust supervision to Step 2 Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs) as well as supervision of supervision to other supervisors in the team. The Role

• To oversee the successful operational management of the NHS Talking Therapies Kent and Medway Duty team.
• To work autonomously whilst facilitating and maintaining excellent relationships across service areas to ensure smooth delivery of the service aims. To problem solve and identify ways of working which will support the duty team to deliver a highly effective resource.
• To proactively manage the operational running of a Duty team within a large Talking Therapies service, whilst maintaining a small Talking Therapies caseload (as either an accredited Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner or High Intensity Therapist – CBT/CfD/IPT/DIT/CTfD).
• The Duty system provides advice and support to our staff (Therapists, Administrative team, Assistant Psychologists, Employment Advisors and Health and Wellbeing Coaches) about all aspects of clinical risk, supporting robust risk management and safeguarding processes across the service.
• This is an excellent opportunity for a Talking Therapies Practitioner who wants to continue delivering therapy whilst adding variety to their role and developing their operational and leadership skills.
• The service welcomes applicants who have significant experience of managing risk and a working knowledge of primary and secondary mental health care services. The role would also suit an individual with strong organisational skills who is able to inspire and motivate colleagues.

Essential:Either:

• Qualified & Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist with MH specialism

OR

• Completed an accredited Talking Therapies training course at high intensity level.
• Knowledge of local and national policies relating to safeguarding children and adults at risk, relevant professional and NHS policy initiatives.
• Experience of assessing multiple presentations of risk.

Desirable:

• Completed an accredited Talking Therapies training course at either low intensity or high intensity level.
• Individual accreditation with a professional/accrediting body (e.g. BABCP, BPS, BACP, UKCP, NCPS)
• HCPC registration
• Talking Therapies Supervision training.
• Evidence of working within both secondary and community healthcare settings
• Experience of delivering risk/ safeguarding supervision.

About the unit

With 6 floors, we are able to provide care for long term care residents and post-acute rehab patients. Each floor has between 50-60 beds. Nurse-patient ratios vary depending on the shift and the population you will be serving. It has a dementia unit, two long term care units and a rehab unit. With 250 beds, each floor has designated units that focus on patient specialties, such as general rehab, neuro rehab, traumatic brain injuries and cancer. Fuller Ave. offers various programs for residents to participate in including music therapy, expressive arts and a garden room.

About Rehab and Nursing Center-Fuller 

Conveniently located near downtown Grand Rapids, the rehab and nursing center on Fuller Avenue has easy on and off access to I-196 and bus lines. A main floor courtyard provides outdoor space for rest and renewal. Most patient rooms are semi-private, with attached bathrooms, television with cable, phone, and window views to the outdoors. 

Scope of work 

Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality, direct patient care. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team. Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse, consistent with policies and procedures of the unit. Responsible for direct day-to-day care of assigned residents/patients including dressing, bathing, transporting and feeding. Documents care provided as directed in a manner consistent with guidelines. 

Our typical shifts are as follows:

• 12 hours shifts days: 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Every third weekend
• 8 hours shift:  6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Every other weekend

About the unit

With 6 floors, we are able to provide care for long term care residents and post-acute rehab patients. Each floor has between 50-60 beds. Nurse-patient ratios vary depending on the shift and the population you will be serving. It has a dementia unit, two long term care units and a rehab unit. With 250 beds, each floor has designated units that focus on patient specialties, such as general rehab, neuro rehab, traumatic brain injuries and cancer. Fuller Ave. offers various programs for residents to participate in including music therapy, expressive arts and a garden room.

About Rehab and Nursing Center-Fuller 

Conveniently located near downtown Grand Rapids, the rehab and nursing center on Fuller Avenue has easy on and off access to I-196 and bus lines. A main floor courtyard provides outdoor space for rest and renewal. Most patient rooms are semi-private, with attached bathrooms, television with cable, phone, and window views to the outdoors. 

Scope of work 

Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality, direct patient care. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team. Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse, consistent with policies and procedures of the unit. Responsible for direct day-to-day care of assigned residents/patients including dressing, bathing, transporting and feeding. Documents care provided as directed in a manner consistent with guidelines. 

Our typical shifts are as follows:

• 12 hours shifts days: 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Every third weekend
• 8 hours shift:  6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Every other weekend

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent
• Required Completion of State of Michigan approved CNA Training Course
• PROMETRIC Certified Nursing Assistant required within 90 days
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days

Technician (Hair & Beauty)Where you’ll work: This role is based at the College’s Dartford and Tonbridge Campuses, although there may be a requirement to travel to other College sites as required.Your hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday), 52 weeks per annumYour pay: Tier 7 - £21,712 per annumHere at North Kent College, we are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate individual to join our exciting Hair and Beauty curriculum area across both our Dartford and Tonbridge departments!At North Kent College, Technician’s play a supportive role within our curriculum departments, working alongside the Lecturing teams to prepare learning materials, supporting practical sessions (including setting up rooms for this) as well as providing technical assistance to the students with their work as and when required.The Technician (Hair & Beauty) will work 2 days per week from our Dartford campus supporting the Beauty department and 3 days per week at our Tonbridge campus, working across both Hair & Beauty to support the team.The ideal candidate will have experience within the Hair and Beauty industry with a proactive approach to work. To be successful in this role, you will be computer literate with strong literacy skills and a flexible approach to your work. You will also be a confident and friendly individual, with the ability to support and communicate with stakeholders at all levels, from students to senior leadership.
