The purpose of the role is to oversee and undertake physical health checks and health promotion support to complex patients with severe and enduring mental health problems, (SMI) who are under the care of Brent Community mental health teams (CMHT); Inpatient services, Learning disability services (LD), Home treatment team (HTT), Older adults (OPHA) and Early intervention services (EIS). The postholder will supervise and support the teams to deliver high standards of physical care to patients with long term conditions in accordance with up to date, evidence-based professional practice subject to local and Trust policies and to provide leadership to the nursing teams within the services. We are looking for a locum consultant orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest Pelvic and Acetabular Trauma, General Trauma and Lower Limb Arthroplasty. 1. To work as part of the Forensic Community Intellectual and Neurodevelopmental Disability Team with a specific focus on providing a consultation to patients referred to the Service.

2. To have direct management responsibilities (profession specific) of identified registered and non-registered staff within the Service.

3. To be involved in the planning and set up of the Community Forensic LD/ASD Service including the formulation of local policy and procedures as well as being able to provide ongoing strategic input to the development and running of the project.

4. To have an enhanced understanding of the needs that women who are diagnosed with Learning Disabilities have when discharged from forensic services. The post holder must be experienced in the complexities that this client group brings, especially in a community setting.

5. The post holder will provide a highly specialist service to an agreed caseload of service users and their carers, which will include care co-ordination and social supervision.

6. To maintain a clear understanding of the patients who are placed in secure and specialist services throughout the SLP partnership by acting as a point of contact to attend CPA’s, assertively manage discharge pathways and reduce risk of delayed discharge.

7. To monitor and review patients who are in conditions of medium to low security within the SLP as well as out of area. The FIND service works with adults with a diagnosis of a learning disability (LD) and/or Autism (ASD) who also experience additional mental illness, co-morbid neurodevelopmental conditions, or behaviours which challenge and who have had contact with forensic services.

The post holder will be responsible for managing the Specialist LD/ASD Forensic Community Team within the Forensic and Prison Directorate. The service is supporting service users from across South London as part of the South London Partnership so travel across South London boroughs is expected.

As an expert practitioner, proactive leader and source of expert advice to clinicians, allied health care professionals, offenders and their carers, the post-holder will lead an integrated mental health service and develop a specialist practice-based clinical model of care to a ground breaking dynamic forensic LD&ASD team. To oversee and manage a team of Multi-Professionals.

The post holder will be expected to ensure the development of services that are comprehensive, flexible and promote a culture of service users and carers’ involvement at every stage of the care pathway.

You will be based in the newly developed Shaftesbury Building which opened to service-users in 2023.
• To provide specialist neuropsychological assessments of clients referred to the SWLSTG FIND Team.


• To provide formulations on service-user’s presenting problems and clinical needs and develop treatment plans.

The Immunology department provides a comprehensive service for in-patients as well as operating a regional referral service. We are a progressive and busy department looking for an enthusiastic person to lead this excellent team. You will have experience of leading an Immunology service, be organised and work well under pressure

The department has state of the art flow cytometry facilities, ELISA processors, Phadia 250 analysers for autoimmunity and allergy, and automated immunofluorescence processors. The department is involved in translational research and had a range of specialist / bespoke manual assays. We are a national referral centre for some biological monitoring tests.

Training and Development
We are supported by an active teaching-hospital environment, with a comprehensive range of accredited CPD activities and we actively encourage professional development. The Immunology department is located in a purpose built Pathology and Pharmacy Building at the Royal London Site. The laboratory is fully UKAS accredited, and has full HCPC/IBMS/STP/HSST training status

The NHS East and South East London Pathology Partnership is an arms-length organisation providing pathology services to Barts Health NHS Trust, Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. The Pathology Partnership is hosted by Barts Health.

The Pathology Partnership is based on well-established models for pathology networks, with the Royal London Hospital becoming the main hub laboratory for the network and Essential Service Laboratories (ESL) as a minimum at all other Hospital sites.

We are excited to offer this full time (37.5 hours) permanent Band 7 role to join our team of specialists in acute children’s care. Based at The Royal London Children’s Hospital, part of the the job plan for this role will be delivering highly specialist acute care for complex communication and swallowing difficulties arising from trauma, acquired and progressive neurological conditions and acute and chronic respiratory conditions on the paediatric wards. The role will also involve working alongside the respiratory team and tracheostomy team, providing specialist SLT input to MDT outpatient clinics.

You will be joining our existing team of 4 SLTs with regular inservices, joint working, robust audit and monthly formal supervision where boundaries in acute therapeutic care can be explored safely within a supportive SLT setting to optimise clinical outcomes for children.

Applicants should be an autonomous dysphagia practitioner (including infants) with evidenced knowledge and experience in acquired brain injury, developmental speech and language therapy and AAC. Experience with tracheostomy, speaking valve assessment and instrumental swallowing assessment (VFSS/FEES) is preferred.

Working within the Acute Children’s Therapies and Play service, the post holder will work as an integrated member of the Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) service based at The Royal London Children’s Hospital. They will deliver highly specialist and dedicated intervention to children and infants (0-16 years) admitted to the Paediatric wards including the 10 bedded Paediatric Critical Care Unit (PCCU) with complex feeding and swallowing difficulties, acquired and developmental communication disorders arising from a wide range of acute etiologies including trauma, respiratory and neurological conditions. The post holder will also have a role with the Respiratory MDT to provide SLT input to outpatient clinics, trache-vent clinics and complex airway patients. Knowledge and experience of tracheostomy, speaking valve assessment and is required. The post holder should be a fully autonomous dysphagia practitioner, (ideally including paediatrics/infants) and should have knowledge of objective swallowing assessment e.g. videofluoroscopy and/or FEES, however training competencies can be provided to develop competencies as required.

A vacancy has arisen for a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist to join the Generic CAMHS team in Haringey CAMHS.

This team provide a range of evidence informed interventions to children and adolescents up to Age 18 identified as requiring specialist CAMHS to address mental health and emotional wellbeing needs. This post holder will offer systemic psychotherapy to children and families presenting with a broad range of mental health concerns and contribute to the range of clinical work offered by Generic CAMHS. You will be key member of the Multi-disciplinary team, offering a systemic perspective to care planning by the team and provide specialist advice and consultation to partner agencies. The post holder will have the opportunity to join a family therapy reflecting team clinic and contribute to the NVR parenting group offer. This is an exciting time to join the service, as the CAMHS Division progresses work to transform the delivery of services for children and young people, drawing on the principles of the Thrive approach. To provide a systemic assessment of referrals of a significant and complex nature with a view to formulating and implementing plans for the treatment and management of a child or adolescent’s mental health problems within the context of family and other systems. These assessments will be based upon an appropriate conceptual framework and will employ research based evidence and also information from appropriate rating scales, self report measures and service user feedback.

To work in ways which are sensitive to the needs of families from a wide range of racial, cultural religious backgrounds. This includes an ability to understand and offer therapeutic interventions to a variety of family forms including single parents, blended families, same sex couples and their wider family networks, accommodated children and their network of care, children who are on the At Risk register and parents with mental health difficulties

To provide specialist systemic psychotherapy with clinical autonomy, drawing on a range of models and approaches, and incorporating both short and long-term interventions. To practice in a way that is inclusive and considerate of the needs of each individual in the system, including family members at a variety of developmental stages and taking account of the current emotional state of each individual member.



The partnership between Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust (BEH) and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) is going from strength to strength since it was originally established in 2021 forming the North London Mental Health Partnership.

In order to meet the needs of the new Partnership services you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work.
