Spreading festive cheer is so much fun, but it’s also very busy. From now onwards, we’re a lot like elves busily preparing for the big day, 25th December, and we need more people to join the party. This is where you come in.

As a Seasonal Sales Assistant, day to day you’ll be doing things like:

• Ensuring that the customer is at the heart of everything you do in store. It\'s the customer promise that all our colleagues work to.

• Making our customers feel welcomed wowed and won over. That’s the way we do things at cardfactory.

• Serving customers at the tills, ensuring they found everything they needed in their visit.

• Recommending our amazing product ranges to our customers. We have a lot more than cards to offer so upselling our great gifts and wrap ranges will be a big part of your day, not forgetting about cardfactory.co.uk and gettingpersonal.co.uk as well.

• Unpacking and restocking our products. We need to ensure our shelves are well stocked, so our customers have our full product range to select from when they visit store.

• Helping with stock take and merchandising our products from time to time.

• Being part of a fantastic team, all passionate about celebrations and spreading more cheer. Tis the season to be jolly after all.

The Ideal Candidate

Having experience in retail isn\'t essential. We’ll show you how to use the tills and find stock.

What we do want is people who are friendly, approachable, and helpful.

It can get pretty busy in store, so you’ll need to be comfortable being on your feet, working at a fast pace and OK changing your priorities during each shift.

We look for people to work across 1000+ stores over the festive season so you might be able to work across a few close-by stores if you are available for more hours. This is optional and we’ll chat to you in your interview more about how this would work.

Role Responsibility

• Manage stock ownership at SKU/store level and process order allocations.
• Improve forecast accuracy for store/SKU to enhance year-on-year performance.
• Predict future sales, considering seasonal and promotional activities, to ensure optimal in-store availability.
• Fulfil new store stock plans and range launches within set timeframes.
• Maintain system updates with stock data and generate stock reports.
• Address third-party stock, delivery, and invoice issues promptly and professionally.
• Oversee both internal and external purchase order processes.
• Collaborate with suppliers and stock control for timely order completion.
• Handle international bookings and documentation, including customs, for third-party deliveries.
• Ensure precise purchase order management and forecasting in merchandising systems to assist the Inventory Management Analyst.

The Ideal Candidate

• Good knowledge/experience of Supply Chain and Stock Management principles/processes
• Good knowledge of Excel, Relex similar replenishment systems
• Good written and verbal communications skills at all levels
• Experience in Supply Chain / Store Stock Management / Logistics / Operations
• Demonstrable drive & commitment and willingness to learn and adapt
• Good levels of planning, organisational skills and the ability to multi task
• Experience working in a retail environment is advantageous, but not essential
• Strong analytical & numerical skills

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Head of Business Development to join our team! This role involves supporting the Executive Director in acquiring new business and expanding our retail partnerships portfolio in the UK and International markets. The successful candidate will be an established Business Development or Sales Director in the general merchandise sector, ideally with experience in greetings cards or related areas. They should have a strong background in new business development, international experience (especially in the USA), and a track record of managing partnerships with large retailers. Excellent interpersonal skills and a knack for building long-lasting relationships are a must.

Based at Junction 41 in Wakefield, with free parking and a flexible, hybrid way of working, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in our team. Role Responsibility

• Developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales growth targets
• To identify opportunities, develop plans and drive implementation for new UK wholesale partnerships
• To identify opportunities, develop plans and drive implementation of market entry and routes to market for new international territories
• Maximising sales potential across the portfolio by:
  • Identifying key trends and communicating feedback to the wider business

• To lead cross functional teams to deliver end to end project plans to open new markets with new partners

The Ideal Candidate

• An established Business Development or Sales Director within the general merchandise sector (greetings cards – or closely related – would be a significant advantage) with similar routes to market to Card Factory
• Extensive new business development and international experience – especially in the USA
• Experience of working with various partnership models, including developing sophisticated wholesale relationships with some of the world’s largest retailers
• A successful track record of international brand development and partner management
• Experience of selling branded and non-brand propositions is ideal
• International commercial experience is key
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build strong, long lasting relationships internally and externally
• Experience of working with contracts from drafting to negotiating and working with legal teams

• Consulting on talent management and succession planning

The role also has accountability for complex employee relations cases in the region, managing any restructures and consultations, settlement situations and Employment Tribunal cases on the region. In addition the role supports the ER team with managing any complex disciplinary or grievance cases, and ensuring compliance with legislation, policy and process across the region.

Great opportunity for a confident Senior Marketing Coordinator to join the cardfactory team – recently voted one of the top five best big companies to work for. This role will have a real focus on Store Marketing and ‘Point of Sale’ and is available on a 12 month fixed term basis to cover maternity leave.

Reporting into the Senior Marketing Manager for Campaigns & store, you will bring the expertise required to manage the delivery of all cardfactory store POS across planned business critical path, campaigns, trials, projects and franchise & concession partners.

We operate smart working principles at cardfactory, combining some days working from our support centre in Wakefield (1-2 a week) with some days working remotely from home.

Role Responsibility

• Manages POS critical path ensuring delivery of all POS required for the business critical path
• Manages delivery of all POS required for new store openings
• Supports campaign marketing manager, brand marketing manager and international marketing manager to ensure delivery of all POS activity outside of the standard business critical path
• Works closely with campaign marketing manager and brand marketing manager to ensure all POS aligns with brand guidelines and campaign toolkits
• Manages POS budget ensuring all POS costs are within planned budget and regular communications to finance team
• Manages store communications for all POS activity ensuring these are shared with the relevant teams
• Leads agency relationships for POS artwork, print and fulfilment
• Manages in-store radio programme including promotional messaging, music licences and radio equipment
• Promotes cross-function working across commercial, digital, marketing, retail and business development teams to ensure POS activity and changes are captured and communicated to the relevant teams
• Regular reviews of internal/external POS and in-store radio processes to ensure maximum productivity and cost efficiencies and implement changes where required

Role Responsibility

• To be the voice of expertise on network design and strategy across the organisation.
• Take ownership for the design of new network solution considering how it will touch all components of the business from stores to offices through to warehouses and design studios.
