We are looking for an organised, efficient, and experienced Control Room Operator to join our security team for Mitie Business Services. You will be working within a supportive team to maintain and monitor CCTV, intruder, and fire alarm panels.
Your key responsibilities will include assisting with daily operational requirements - ensuring compliance and accurate recording of incidents to outline identified risks. As part of your role, you will be required to escalate incidents, report Health and Safety concerns, and respond to emergency situations also producing accurate reports to ensure alarms are efficiently responded to.
Our ideal candidate will have awareness of the law across, The Private Security Industry, Health and Safety for the Private Security Operative, Fire Safety, Technology and Systems in the Security environment and Emergency Procedures.

Key Duties & Activities
To monitor operational CCTV camera images within the Security Control Centre remit.
To operate effectively all operational CCTV camera technologies.
To prepare and maintain Security Control Centre equipment for operational use.
To operate all other associated security control room technologies.
Provide a high level of service to our clients with the emphasis on customer service.
To complete all administrative tasks to support the above.
To interact with Emergency Services as required.
Observe the location of site staff to enhance safety, providing best incident response solutions.
Perform monitoring tasks in line with all standing operational procedures.
Inspect equipment for failures and faults.
Arrange for the collation and viewing of CCTV images in response to incident investigation in line with the CCTV Code of Practise.
Maintain accurate records and logs of all/any events.
Inform other team members of actions to ensure contingency of operations.
Communicate with operational staff concerning incidents, ensuring that all information escalation routines are observed.
Follow set procedures in the event of any incident/emergency event occurring.
Operation of the Control Room switchboard.
Providing an immediate response to any major/minor site incidents.
Follow any such reasonable instruction as issued by Senior Line Management.
Ensure a detailed handover is given to the oncoming Controller.
To log defects on the CAFM system.
