The Children’s Services Commissioning Team within Cardiff Council are responsible for the delivery of externally commissioned services to children, young people and their families known to, or involved with Cardiff Children’s Services. The service is committed to working with and developing the market to increase the quantity and quality of services available to Cardiff Children, Young People, and their families within the Cardiff area. The Children’s Services Commissioning Strategy: Right Home, Right Support and Children’s Services Directorate Strategy, Delivering Excellent Outcomes in Children’s Services provides the basis for the activity we are undertaking. The Cardiff, Children’s Services Commissioning Team wish to appoint a Quality Assurance and Contract Monitoring Officer work within the Children’s Services commissioning function in Cardiff Council. This is an exciting opportunity to enhance how Children’s Services work with local providers, the wider market, stakeholders, and external agencies ensuring quality of provision and identifying opportunities for improvement in the services available to our children, young people and their families. The role will be integral in strengthening and maintaining the relationships with providers, understanding the pressures within the sector and supporting them to meet the current and changing needs of our children, young people and their families and will be crucial in the delivery of cost effective and high-quality outcomes. We wish to appoint an individual who can demonstrate effective analytical, communication and engagement skills. Experience of commissioning, procurement and contract monitoring and management, preferably in the public sector, is an essential requirement of this post. This is a hybrid role with requirements to attend the office and visit sites to do inspections so the ability to travel around Cardiff if essential.

A fantastic opportunity for a Quality Assurance Technician, based in Cardiff, to ensure production standards are met and maintained for products before they leave site.

Hours: 07.30 - 16.00 (Mon - Thu) & 07.30 - 14.00 (Fri)

Salary: £28 - £29k per annum

Duties include;

• Maintain Quality Management Systems including document control, review and create documents, work instructions, dashboards, and other quality administrative tasks.
• Complying with all standards, internal policies and legal regulations.
• Carrying out in-process quality inspections and audits.
• Identifying and reporting non-conformities.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
• Maintain waste management system liaising with external providers.
• Measuring equipment - control and calibration.
• Assist in non-conformance system maintenance.
• Assist in customer complaints system maintenance.
• Assist in Quality Management Systems maintenance:

1. Document control.
2. Maintain quality dashboards up to date.
3. Maintain quality documentation up to date.

• Create/update standard operating procedures where required.
• Provide quality procedures training where required.
• Keep training records up to date and maintain training matrix for all departments.
• Participate in improvement projects.
• Support the Quality Manager in internal and external audit preparation.
• Deal/provide support with day-to-day quality issues.
• Ensure product compliance with required standards.
• Holiday/sickness cover for quality controllers.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience of working in a similar role.
• Experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of technical drawings (desirable).
• Understanding of ISOs in general but particular experience in ISO's 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO
• 45001 (desirable).
• Computer literate - experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience of using manual measuring equipment - vernier calipers, micrometers etc.

The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Credit Control Supervisor to work within the Finance department based at the Head Office in St Mellons, Cardiff.
Reporting to the Income and Credit Manager the key responsibilities will include:

Ensuring invoicing and collection of cash in relation to local authorities and the NHS is carried out on a timely basis.
Providing direct supervision and support to other members of the Credit Control team.
Liaising with operations staff to ensure resident fee information is received and complete.

Experience and Skills
You will need:

Experience of working in a credit control environment in a service sector.
Previous supervisory experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good MS Office skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.
Experience of working in the care home sector would be beneficial but not essential.
